HLH..........no question.

Time management can be a problem during a short trip. If you like to use your own shower and your own sheets, like I do, staying at HLH will give you a better choice of chicas during a quick trip.

You can bring girls from anywhere to your room at HLH at any time of the day or night. But if you stay ELSEWHERE, you can't have any of the outstanding HLH all-stars in your own room during the hours that the HLH bar is open unless you make prior arrangements with the girls for their "off days." Prior arrangements are not likely for a newbie.

So, logic (in my simple mind, anyway) gives you a greater selection of chicas for a full 24 hours of a day if you stay at HLH.

The short-term rooms at HLH are decent. Unlike HLH, they can be pretty ugly in some other places-----no shower, shower down the hall, suicide shower, dirty sheets, noise, hot, tiny, and etc. Some guys don't mind those adventures, but I do.

For what it's worth to you, all of that is not even considering the other substantial advantages of HLH-----the clean, modern rooms which are usually quiet, the two happy hours, the VIP discounts, the promotions (Leggs and Eggs), the famous chicas who are legendary for good reasons, helpful housekeeping, the location, Greg and Jeff and Iveth, the bar food prepared by the cute, twin Columbian cooks, etc., etc., etc.

IMHO, if you stay at HLH, you won't be sorry. Some guys check-in and never see daylight during a quick trip until the ride back to the airport.

You can't go wrong at either place. they are just down the street from each other. I find myself going between the places (DR and KL too) all day. Ya see the same crowd at both.

Rooms are little bit nicer at HLH (fixtures). Action is a little more "frat house" at SL. Girls get crazier at HLH (naked dancing on the bar or blow jobs in the corner chairs. Ya won't see that at SL). Neither charge chica fees. both are CRT sponsors so you get the discount. Both have great staff and management. HLH is a little bit cheaper for rooms. SL is a little bit cheaper for booze. SL is bigger, HLH is smaller. SL has a larger menu for food.

Don't see how I missed coming back to this this thread....but I guess you can't be in 6 places at once     ; plus since I'm not a newbi, and honestly believe you can't go wrong either place, I never re- read it.

I also can't belive the thread went 2 pages and with the exception of MiamiHellers' lukewarm admonishment regarding the misuse of the word "Ticas" (which went over the OP's head; believe me  ) no one - no one took the time to school the lad that "Tica" is not anorher word for whore. (And I put myself in that category too - so shame on me)

Also to the OP - HLH is a whorehouse; with fixed prices - as a non CRT paid, VIP member - unless you recently joined - you will pay more - Sportsmans is a hotel - the girls frequenting Sportsmans are independents, free to charge whatever the traffic will bear (many start at $100 but will back off that figure)

HLH has keypad controlled safes in every room. You enter your own combination to use the safe.

If this is your first trip to SJO, you have to spend 1st night at Hotel Del Rey. It is your right of passage. Stay at Sportsmans or HLH second night (if available), and every trip you make from here on out.

IMHO, Buysell can forget staying at HDR. Karen can give him the "right of passage" at HLH.

Hi all, newbie here and first post :D I would like to say that the information I have found on this site is beyond compare. Thank you Admin1 and everybody else for all for your efforts! I think I have decided on HLH for my First Contact and then maybe checking out SL for the chicas too (I have absorbed Scuba1's advice that Tica does not equal whore; thanks Scuba). From what I have read HDR may be a little much for a first visit :?:

I am (kinda) not new to the monger lifestyle as I was stationed at Clark AB, Phillipines in the mid-80's and that was an adult male Disneyland. Never been to CR though and found out about CRT through the MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) website, google "MGTOW" and you'll see what I mean. Men seeking alternatives...

This may be a little off topic but how much cash do you seasoned mongers carry in-country for a weeks visit? Minus airfare and hotel bill, of course. I'm looking at a late January/early February visit...

Since you were kind enough to mention me :) , I'll take a swing at your question - although a lot depends on you; the food at many "high end" restaurants is not especially cheap; if you plan to gamble; if you tend to rack up a big bar bill; if you are a "passive" type of negotiator; ie figure its my first trip, and I'll pay what she asks <like $100> are all factors. (Especially for multiple girls, over multiple days    )

I'm going for a week real soon; not counting hotel, airfare, etc - I'll bring about $1200 - and expect to come home with some cash in my pocket - if you are skipping the massage parlors (a mistake) and doing 2 ladies a day, plus food, my budget likely will leave you short. I'd invite others to chime in; new guys as well as vets :)

Have a great trip :)
