About time!

The TT had become a shell of it former self. I cancelled by subscription about 3 years ago after being a subscriber for almost 15 years. Every issue seemed to get smaller with less real news coverage of what was happening in Costa Rica. You could get more information on a more timely basis from AM Costa Rica.

The last year or so I was a subscriber the insert, Nica Times, was more interesting then the main paper.

Print seems to be going that way in a lot of places. Visiting the States and the paper I usually read is cutting back to 3 days a week soon.

Maybe it's not only technology that's resulting in these changes but the Media itself that is causing its own demise. We no longer receive news anymore but mostly insignificant and irrelevant CRAP. Media bias is pervasive everywhere you turn and the art of journalism as it once was has really gone down the trash. Add to that the "dumbing down" of individuals and it's pretty easy to understand why media, in general, is nothing like it once used to be, i.e. during the days of legends like Murrow...Brinkley...Cronkite...etc.

The legends were journalist first and network anchor secondly. It it now who cares about your journalistic skills what is important is your good boy (good girl) telegenic appeal.
