I kind of wish I could change my "handle!" The Boeing 747 is kind of becoming yesterday's news! I'd much rather be known as "Jetsetter787!"

well, i am honored to have made the list...and truly wish that i had a great story like Johnnie Black to tell you all...buti've often wondered about some folks handles also

my story is this...on my first visit to CR, chicas would frequently say (scream) Que rico! during the session...at first i didn't know what it meant...but since they seemed to be enjoying themselves, it kinda stuck with me, so when i joined CRT, i chose Krico and i was surprised that nobody had taken it already!

in a related story, when i first met Orange, he said, "oh, i thought your handle was pronounced creeko!" :P :P

It's a handle I've had for awhile

Wally Hotvedt was a character on a comedy show called Let's Bowl! He and sidekick Chopper hosted the show, the show was based around 'grudge match' bowling.

Wally was 'colorful' - an alcoholic, neurotic, beaten as a Ch*ld, prone to inapprop outbursts, loved hookers but was scared of them at the same time. Here's a video from Wally on 'dating'

It just seemed like a great fit lol

Good Post- I was Head Chef at a major DC area airpot when 9/11 happened I was giving a demo for the British Airways foodservice director and watched the towers fall with her on TV. We were then locked in the facilty for 2 days until clearance came. Within a week all airlines "Drastically cut their in flight food service and 3 weeks later I was laid off-Hence Sky-EX-Chef.... :roll:

Oh no...old fart Circus again.

Yea...after having three vodka sunrises for breakfast I resorted to memory lane on the PC. Shit, I got tired of playing with my 2' tallywhacker while on porn sites so I migrated onto CRT. Any new members in the last several years want to reveal your inner self? Go ahead...make our day.

Seriously I would have sworn I posted on this thread a long time ago but guess not! I know I have posted how I got my handle at least a couple of times but will do so again:

In 1957 I was a 15yo high school student. At noon one day I was talking with my 3 best friends when my girlfriend (years later she became my first wife) walked up and slapped the shit out of me. She then says "Damn you Roy, you are always --ugh--"Banging" other girls" (good lil girls back then would never use the "F" word)!! Well my buddies broke up laughing and calling out "Bangbang, bangbang"!! I was so shocked and surprised by the slap that I just stood there in a daze!! But the name stuck :oops: :roll: :wink:

Back in the mists of time (when Fairy Tales were real), I discovered that through the DARPA-net you could access pornographic materials hidden on ARCHIE servers. I didn’t dare use my own logon for such, and as I just wanted to lurk (a term that did not even exist at the time), I invented Bashful Dwarf.

Years later (after Al Gore invented the internet for us) I discovered the porn-infested newgroups, and once again, needed to hide in the shadows. Ol’ Bashful was resurrected. This also corresponds to the time I was in software development, and it was illegal to trade certain software snippets to old Iron Curtain countries. So the handle was again dusted off and securely fastened between me and the world.

Years later (when the US Naval Research Labs released TOR to the public domain) I built the Dwarf Home Cluster, again hiding behind the moniker. (In fact, the “Bashful” node was a private entry node using a modified AES protocol – thus being a curtain between me and TOR itself.)

The name immediately comes to mind when I need to hide in a sneaky, laughable, ridiculous situation. The ‘bashful’ adjective used to fit me well: now, not so much. But many have insinuated that using ‘Dwarf’ is to insult people of smaller stature. This is not true, as it is the proper name of a character I usurped, relating to the psychological characterization of the persona.

Those who know me feel that it fits in many ways.
