Anyone hear that Hotel Castillo closed down? A friend of mine just returned from CR and he says Castillo closed. Any onfo is appreciated.

I just called them and the lady at the front desk said they were open and no plans to close...

Thanks PVT. I had already made backup reservations at HLH just to cover myself but knowing they are open is a sigh of relief.

I was there 3 weeks ago and no mention of closing. As always, a great stay and great hotel.

Last I saw for asking price was around 1.4 or 1.6 million dollars.

I think it was 1.2 mil the asking price. It needs new beds and TV's and electronic safes to compete with other hotels.
