I spent pretty much the entire day Saturday (9/8) and Sunday (9/9) at HLH. I hope these quick notes may help the owners of that fine establishment.

1) While sitting down at the couch waiting for girls to arrive (around 9:30 AM or so), two gringos were complaining about their breakfast! Both had their breakfast for the first time there and both said it will be their last! They thought the price was on the upper side as well as they didn't like the fact that they had to pay extra for Coffee/juice. Maybe you can include coffee/juice to the breakfast menu without extra charge!

2) Girls were not in until around 10:00 AM on both days and I didn't see a single girl until 10:15 AM on Monday! I think it's better to have some early birds coming in at 9:00 AM since that's the time you open! Maybe work with the girls to rotate their hours working there at least once a week. I think it will help the hotel if you have minimum 3 girls to start working around 9:00 AM.

3) Girls were just sitting in the couches and doesn't really have fun anymore. They used to be lot more fun before when Pam & Laura were there! I think those girls are instructed not to approach the guys unless they are called over by the guys. I think they should be allowed to have more fun, and have them approach the guys. I believe they will get lot more business this way and guys will have more fun. Train the girls to go back or go to a different person if the first guy declines their company! Every men who goes there are not going to social with other guys. They want to go there and have fun with the girls. It can get very boring for a guy who is there by himself if the girls are not having fun! I know for myself I would love to have the girls approach me especially in a setting like yours! I didn't have a single girl from HLH this time where I had over 5 or 6 girls on my last trip all because they approached me. I only had one girl approach me during my visits to HLH on both days, she wasn't my type so I declined her offer!

4) Your drink prices are crazy! 6000 colones for a phucking Grey Goose and Tonic! Sportsmen charges 3600 for the same! They need to work on their bar prices unless people will only go there for happy hours and eventually it will hurt your business. I didn't see many men drinking top shelf drinks at your establishment. 9/10 men were drinking beer! make your top shelf drinks more affordable to everyone. People won't have to wait for happy hours and you may make more money!

5) Awesome job on having the early bird special! guys, it's only $40.00 for one hour if you pick a girl before 1:00 PM. You don't have to be CRT member or staying at the hotel to have this special. This special is good as long as you have girls around. It's important you have girls start working at 9:00 AM.

6) Jeff & Gregg are two top notch people! They will take good care of you. Jeff will start giving out shots just for the Phuck of it! He likes to have fun, and he wants everyone around him having fun! I had a great time spending and taking shots with him at Sportsmen on Sunday night along with Gregg and this super cool guy Omar (he was staying at HLH)!!!

Jeff & Gregg, I hope you both take these notes in a positive manner! You both run a fine establishment and I strongly believe HLH will be a better place under your leadership.

I'll never buy a girl a drink at HLH again. Aside from the crazy prices, both girls who I did buy a drink for didn't even bother saying thanks. While I know that's not on HLH, it's off putting, imo.

I didn't like staying there & likely won't do so again.

On the plus side, they have the best cheeseburger in the Gulch, far better than Sportsmen's.

Now with me, I'll buy the chicas drinks, but I usually do it with the ones I've been with or have gotten to know. This way, they not only thank me in the bar, but when things move to my room, we have more fun.

I did tell Daisy and Karol a couple of times to put a chica's order on my tab as they finished their food, but was specific enough with this request to know how much extra. And each time the chica was surprised, but happy and warmed up to me more.

I guess it goes differently for everyone.

If the prices were more affordable, most men who visits HLH will buy drinks for the Chicas. If a chica warms up to you at the bar then buying a couple of drinks won't be a problem for most men. They problem they have now is the chicas are not allowed to mingle with the men, and the men don't want to buy drinks because it's too much. I didn't see anyone buying top shelf except one young guy who was drinking JW Black, that too a couple of drinks only! I know for myself I would have bought at least 5-6 of goose and tonic if the price was right. My tab comes out to $60-$70 when I am in sportsmen but my tab at HLH is always around $20-$25.

I think Jeff is working out the prices for drinks so afternoon happy hours will go away.

EL O .... I had great times there when buying drinks for the girls. There are some girls who have no idea about how to make more money. If you are in this business to make money, be smart about it. These girls have no idea about how to get repeat businesses.
