Does anyone have a fake facebook account?
What are the pros and cons of doing it?

You mean creating a fake account with fake pictures, and fake posts; creating a fake identity - why would you want to do it - seriously - tell me; I'm curious (to fool your wife or significant other - to BS the pro's you meet in CR and elseware - who could not give a damn about you to begin with - seriously - I want to know the motivation behind your question/post)

I'm not a fan of social media, and believe it can cause more harm than good (plus the vast majority of peoples lives are just not that interesting; and the majority really could not care less about your pictures, especially when it comes to Ch*ldren and grandchildren) but given this disclaimer, why would you want to do it.

Hell you brought it up - inquiring minds want to know - and while I am not bad using a computer or a smart phone, fully cop to not getting the whole social media thing - so if my question is dumb, sorry - just answer it anyway

i don't use fb except for business since i lead a life of quadrality. the very nature of that beast is to identify and pigeon hole the user so that all things connect to him. once it knows your ip i think it just sort of intersects things automatically. they have hi5 and other lesser used less intrusive networks fwiw.

I think I know. Its a way to keep in contact with chicas in CR and MDE (favoritas and the such) while not giving them any actual info. I know several guys who have fake FB accounts for this purpose.

I suppose you are correct; I just am not into the whole social media thing; but your explanation is likely correct.

PS I'm a big believer in take their contact info (but be prepared for the cell phone to be turned off within 3 months or less b/c they seldom saw a bill they were likely to pay ) but don't give out yours - phoney, set up for the purpose mentioned, etc - but then I suppose I'm not the one to give advice on this subject (I knew there had to be some subject I'm not expert on....... )

I had a real one for a few months a few years ago. I did not like the goofy people comming out of the woodwork and then I felt rude not befreinding them. Also I like my privacy.
And yes, I agree, who cares about the triviality of your life?

Also there are a few legitamate people in my life I would like to check on once in awhile
(my sons who are off to college) and another freind or 2.
But I don't really want my stuff out there.
Any tips on how to do it anyone?

Its quite easy to lock down ur FB account to where nobody see's anything you don't want them to. Also, FB isn't like twitter..so if you view trival comments from the friends you accepted and no longer want to see them, you can fix that too. Anything posted on your wall you can set for your approval before viewing etc...

I don't know...me, if its a few friends, I'd call them or e mail 'em every so often - for chicas, I would not bother - again, I'm not a social media guy, but good luck; it does not sound too hard, just expect some of the same idiots to come out of the woodwork; no shame in "unfriending" someone (gee, I think I'm using the right term! )

I recommend sticking to the telegraph, Scuba. Or smoke signals. Or tom-toms.

I do not have a fake Facebook account, but I have added or been added by a few working girls. I have yet to receive a rfm or any other games from any of them. I can see why someone would create a fake one though if they were more concerned about keeping things private.

Yes, of course. but you have to spend some time managing the account , limiting what others can see

i dont want my new FRIEND to see all my other friends and their pictures, and then start talking about me and comparing notes, get jealous, etc...

a big plus is that facebook is a great way to text with the ladies for free ( they like free )

Facebook is just way too public and someday you are going to forget which account you are connected to and post the wrong thing. I never even considered using Facebook for anything until I opened my own business. Now I have a personal account and a business page. I am invariably posting something to the wrong page. In my case, I am just accidentally "spamming" my friends with a business promotion. No harm, no foul as long as I don't do it too often. In your case, it might get a bit embarrassing.

Why not just open up an alternate gmail account. Email, chat, even voice I believe and it's all free. It would be a lot less prone to that erroneous post.

I know of one working girl that has 2 facebook accounts and 2 boyfriends. She uses a fake last name. Helps keep them apart.

I tried it at the request of some cigar buddies, well that turned bad I started getting emails everyday saying this person or that person wanted to add me. Sh*t I am convinced they are not people I know at all and just a way to expand Facebook. so now I spam block anything from Facebook, twitter any of them.

Scuba called it call me or pm me people I know can get a hold of me and trust me my life is boring and outside of how good a blow job I got nothing else is worthy of you all knowing
