I'd appreciate any info via PM on Riverside Condos in Escazu from anyone that lives / lived there or knows someone that does or did. Thinking of moving there and have some questions and would prefer to keep it off-line. I've Lived near there for the last 2+ years.

Thanks,

Woozo

Would your question(s) - that you prefer to keep "off line" have anything to do with "guest policies" :P       :)

Hey, I get it - first guy to guess what you want to keep "off line" gets a secession at HLH - paid for by you :) :P :)

I'll go first....I'm going to guess your question is about their guest policies

Well.....do I win (Only one guess per CRTer) - but you gotta be honest, and fund the contest; it will not cost you much! Are we on?????

If ya PM'd him, ID - or he you - it does not count - so I'm still in the running - but sounds like you might have some inside info to make you the winner!  :P  8)

Oh, and ID....as part of it the winner has to disclose what he guessed (correctly) that the OP wanted to keep "off line"

This has the potential to be as long as the "Ball Shaving" thread (or not :P    Apologies in advance; just in a weird mood today and something about Woozo's post just "spoke" to me! :P :) :) :) )

I cant be the winner as I indeed have inside information. I know Woozo so I know where he lives now, why he is moving and what he wanted to learn from his posting. I assure you it was nothing nefarious or even titillating.

You can PM me, I have some inside info on Riverside. That's info from friends who currently live there. Other who did, sold it and moved back to the states. Another is a current owner. Or you can save the time. I'll tell you it's a good place to rent. In fact, many units are not owner occupied, yet few vacancies. If you want to buy, better to PM me.

Hi all,

Thanks for the interest and I hope this doesn't go like the "ball shaving" thread - please say it isn't so!!

ID is correct that we are friends and he was aware of the reasons and etc. Nothing shady or etc - just interested in a few things like how people living there (or knowing people that live there) liked it. Cost of electricity with air conditioning and etc.

Thanks for the info, Flyboy, good to know.

I actually did the deed today (contract) so it's a done deal - so to speak.

Thanks again and let's say this one is closed (unlike "ball shaving).

Cheers -

Woozo

I always prefer condos with nice views and amenities. It should have a fast internet access. Without it, I don't think I can survive the wholeday! :(

Riverside is a nice condo with a great location. However, it has a history of hostilities towards female "friends". I doubt that has changed. Good luck.

Interesting - "hostilities" from others that live there or by management or both? Hope it ain't so!

As an owner in Riverside you should be able to pass the guard at the gate with now problem. Perhaps as a tenant the mgmt. might give you some grief or dirty looks. There are a number of single men living there, I know two who do/did and never heard bringing in chicas was an issue.

There are issues at Riverside which relate to out of country owners renting their condos and not getting paid, issues of surprise condo assessments.

Woozo

I guess you will consume less than 200kWhs per month. Here is a site where you can look up the current electricity rates in Costa Rica.

So if you would get electricity from ICE you would pay ¢14.400 for the first 200kWhs.

My condo has no a/c (just cool mountain air), maid runs the washer and dryer for 6 hours or so once a week, I have an electric range, refrig, water heater and live alone. My usage is usually between 400-450 kw. a month. 32,000 colones last month with just under 400kw.
