This thread is getting more interesting. Another poster above made the point that Tico's don't tolerate bad behavior among their women. I wouldn't be so sure about that. Sure there's some machismo in Latin culture to be sure. However, I think as you immerse yourself in the culture you'll find many of the same attitudes and problems that gringos deal with in the U.S. If this were not so then why do so many Tico marriages fail? Why do so many men lose out in divorce settlements in Latin America? Yes, some men don't tolerate crap from their chick and in do doing keep their balls intact but most do-much like the U.S.

Another thing is that the Latino men often don't have the financial means to give his woman all that she could possibly want either. Victoria Secret perfume and panties are expensive, boys . Enter the gringo. Between Moneygram, Western Union and a bevy of attention/money from mongers it remains possible(at least in her mind) that she can "have it all."

Thirdworld makes a good point but I'd like to speak to the larger issue for a moment. There's no question that many men don't fit in the "alpha" category. The reason for this is varied. What's missing from the question is the fact that many women would also never get a C*ck in them were it not for a mans inability to control his nature. The notion that you have to "pay for it" is a fallacy. P4P exists because human beings demand that it be so. As such, it will always be part and parcel of the human experience. Simply put, men cannot meet all of their needs and neither can women. P4P is the answer to that. Look, I'm a handsome guy, I take care of myself and my environment. I don't have trouble finding non-pro women at home. However, finding women that I want to be with sexually with no strings attached is another matter entirely! I don't want to be married! I don't want to have K*ds! I don't want to take care of HER K*ds! These 3 facts wipe out a very large percentage of females available to me on a relationship level. That said MY needs remain. P4P is the answer for me until such time a women who fits my criteria can be found. Not all who monger, monger for life.

I will say this, if a man can do no better than to use his hand for the remainder of his days in absence of P4P then I would place that man on a higher level than a man who compromises his integrity and gets involved with a puta/gringa/Tica bitch simply because he's too scared to be alone.

As a long time friend of mine that is better with women than anyone I have ever met:

When you look at women in terms of a business aspect, they make PERFECT sense and their K*ds serve as assets to increase her bottom line.

I have been reading through this thread and am confused:
Some of the posters say they are not misogynists but their writings indicate otherwise. Others are quietly showing they are.
Regardless;
Independent of your life’s experiences if you think that ALL women have ulterior motives in what they do and how they act then perhaps the reasons for your outlook on women are due to how you conduct yourself when with them. Bad Boy / Nice guy concepts aside. Most women I know and some guys are able to figure out someone’s attitude towards the opposite sex after a few meetings. From there they decide whether the relationship is worth pursuing. Outwardly you may be the greatest person in the world but, without knowing it, you show your true colors at the same time. Women see this.

Most people have sex because they enjoy it and use sex as an indicator of whether they will be happy with that person, in addition to the other aspects of relationships. P4P aside. But great sex does not mean a great relationship. At the same time mediocre sex does not make for good relationships. In many of my relationships the sex got better the more we got to know each other and the more time we spent together.

With P4P I have had sex that was fantastic but I would not want to be with the woman for the rest of my life. At the same time I have had good sex and thought maybe there could be something more here. Of course I have had bad performers but there was something about her that made me think there was something there worth pursuing. ( Fortunately my flight was the next day ) I think that many of the P4P women think that if they perform great sex that is all the man is looking for in a relationship. A few of them think otherwise. Either way that is their take on ALL men just as some of the posters here think ALL women have ulterior motives.

For me I’ll take my chances with women. I’ve found that just being myself works most of the time and if it doesn’t then it wasn’t meant to be. I enjoy their company, their different take on life, the perfumes they wear, the way they dress and their quirky mannerisms. Does it drive me crazy sometimes, hell yes, but I would rather be driven crazy than be with out one.

After injecting my $0.02 worth here is just a little about me;
I would be considered the “nice guy” and am not in a relationship as of this writing. However there are quite a few women in my life that I enjoy the benefits of. Some are for free others are P4P.

Yeah, it probably is because you are sweet and nice to them. They view you as weak and an easy person to manipulate. I am a decent person all around but when women start acting stupid, demanding, pushy, nagging, asking me to buy them stuff, etc it's time to say sayonara; trust me, you have something they want or they wouldn't be around you. Even if it's a free meal, a trip to the movies, or you buy them something. Hell, even a ride in the car.
