Ok, here is the only part about the situation that I am remotely interested in, being sympathetic to a business that is greatly crippled by a rumor. And I don't know, just wondering. I was never close with him and don't claim to be. But I liked the guy and he never did anything to me so If he did do all of the things that are being suggested and is a serious pro con man, oh well, I've known a few in my day and actually like most of them. Interesting characters. The thing that does bother me a little, just from the standpoint of respecting a person's business and hating to see a business owner lose major money because of something beyond their control. Which brings me to the Dunn Inn. The only thing about the situation that would bother me is if the DI got unjustly crucified. Let's don't get back into the argument about how much damage to DI, but we all know that if they had continued to be one of the little "CRT Darlings" that place would probably have been jumping since the redo. Like one of the comments earlier in the thread, I don't quite understand why anyone is passionate on either side of the coin, unless they actually were wronged and lost money.

Dude we get it you don't like Boyd. Your constant Boyd bashing is getting a little tiresome. Just move on already. I think you've made your point after 5 yrs of being in hiding

Thought I'd finally chime in here with a couple thoughts... didn't really want to, but can't resist...

It speaks volumes that Boyd has generated so much activity. Reason is that he is a tour-de-force in and of himself. He made shit happen. He was the face of several places. He built a cult of personality that no one else has. He can count among his greatest friends many of the biggest players in san jose, not only Bill of SL, but many others. He made and broke many of the places he worked at or frequented.

I count Boyd as one of my greatest friends. I have not known him for very long, but he has done me right in so many ways that I can't remember how many. Maybe he has done others equally as wrong, but I can only speak from my own experience.

DI did themselves in. Everyone seems to tie Boyd to the fiasco at DI. But there was a lot more that the epic dumbass move of firing Boyd that did them in. DI phucked up. They were trying to be cutthroat in a market that they thought they should be cutthroat in. They literally drove a van to one of the most hallowed haunts and started grabbing girls out of there, promissing the girls free drinks and that they would be much better off at DI. I didn't want to pull that card, but everyone seems to think that DI's only sin was firing Boyd. DI was dissed because they were huge douchebags to almost every single major gulch player. I personally witnessed the majors driving up to DI and calling DI out and driving the girls back to the venue. I have personally spoken to the best servers in San Jose that worked at DI that would never work there again because they were treated like shit.

Boyd has done a lot of good for the guys of CRT. He has the most volatile groups of lovers and haters. That says something.
