I know some here just dont like this hotel for some issues related to Boyd's departure but keeping aside those reasons, is it a good hotel for a decent stay and is it chica friendly as in no hassles and fees?
I like it because it has fridge and desk/chair as compared to HLH.

First off I have always felt the Dunn Inn got a bad rap with the entire BK Situation and how it panned out or resolved. With that said recent events at HLH perhaps those who took the soap box to voice their not so subtle destruction of the Dunn should rethink their position.

Not withstanding I'm sure some clients have had issues not related to the above as with any hotel things and shit happens but the bashing off the Dunn to protect BK really irked me.

OK I'm done ranting.. to answer the posters question I have stayed at the Dunn, The Amistad, SL and the Presidente.. right now the Dunn continues to be my favorite with clean rooms, a pleasant staff, great bar area, good food and chica friendly. Just my opinion...

The Dunn Inn was my favorite regardless of the Boyd incident. The new rooms are excellent but I used to stay in the old section until one night I killed a half dozen roaches. That may have been due to the construction of the new wing at the time but I never had a roach problem in the new rooms. The staff are friendly and great and Guy Grand is a real good friend. The only reason I stopped going there is, and I know this is silly, but I just do not like the attitude of the Hotel Manager. John Gomes. Maybe I was spoiled by Boyd's freindly nature to his customers. In any case the Dunn Inn new rooms and Hotel in general is an excellent choice.

It is not that the Done Inn does not have nice facilities I never have downplayed its comfort and the Staff.
Except that I do not know the Gomes manager. All I can say its the business strategy that they took from day one when the casino opened. About the same Day Boyd was terminated and put on the street like putting out the trash. His severance package was a kick in the ass and to insinuate or put out rumor that he was a drug dealer. Perhaps the owners were not satisfied with his performance. They did this termination in such a vindictive way that no wonder CRT members turned against them. The owners were betting on high rollers for their establishment.
CRT were the next to go. So I still say Phuck the Done Inn. Perhaps when new owners take over the place I will once again stay there. So I say HLH is the place to stay or the Sportsmans at least they care about CRT people.

Saw your posts for Morazan--- Dunn Inn is a much better hotel. As reported, the new rooms are very nice. Ricks sports bar is great for sports watching and I think the food is real good. 2 minute walk to HLH and 5 min. To SL.

Riff Raff may be what I call a person that will not stand up against wrong. Liberals cower thinking that the Government is going to save their asses or support a select group. Go ahead let Corporations and Government tell you how to think and run your life. This everybody for himself attitude is whats wrong today. The ethics in business no longer exists. Loyalty to employees and vice versus is to lie cheat and steal
to self serve their own agenda. There have been many companies and financial firms that have stolen
a hard working persons assets by pure theft and greed. A firing squad would put a stop to this if the perpetrator new there was a real punishment. Supporting a friend is not wrong. Especially if the termination was wrongful or was done very low handed. Yes they had a reason I am sure. It is just the way it was handled. Do not expect someone to support you if you are the type to run from a fight. I had rather have you as an enemy than a backstabber. At least I would know who was the enemy. I am sure there
are people and places that you do not like and you do your best to see that your friends do not associate
with such Riff Raff as you call it. The Done Inn does suck! It had the potential to become a great venue. They were in such a hurry to get rid of Boyd they forgot to remember who got it successful. Just because it has refurbished rooms and cockroaches as one member said. It must be the perfect place for current Riff Raff to stay .

Holy shit- I have never read a post so completing typifying the Staw Man fallacy. If that was your intention, this post is brilliant. If you are actually trying to make a point here, than it is rubbish.

Given the overly simplistic nature of your politicized drivel you might need this to understand what a Straw man is....

I am looking to book room online at Dunn Inn and I see that they have standard room for 59 plus tax and deluxe room for 69 plus tax. What is the difference - is it worth paying more? Most important for me is quiet room.

Be careful choosing any room at the Dunn Inn. 59Vette may consider it an affront to the common working man and a socialist statement supporting those damn commies that ruined America and sent him to the land of Pura Vida.

The standard $59 rooms are nice but small. The $69 in my opinion are worth the extra $$. You also get your CRT discount.

Actually I know Riff Raff when confronted with it 444 crawl back in your hole . I guess that it is too much too expect for people to be ethical in business. Ethics in government no longer exists if it ever did.
I guess the American way to get ahead is to become a lawyer and join the firm of Dewey, Cheatum and Howe. Straw man argument maybe! It is a battle that can not be won. Corruption will always exist as will greed. I pity the person that has to make a living that way.
