Gotta disagree with this. Just because guys stay there because of him doesn't mean either he or HLH "owe" them anything. I think it's best for all parties to drop it & move on, but if this board holds true to form, that's likely not happening.

BTW, I neither know Boyd or will ever stay at HLH, so I have no horse in this race.

After all the drama I decided to cancel my reservations and book the Amistad. In Rudy, Mario and Matt you still get the valuable Customer Service that Boyd offered at the DI and HLH. That is all that is important to me and I am sure other CRT Members. I promise no more from me on this subject.

Boyd was not just a manager of HLH, he was like family among many of you.

It's amusing to me that we as mongers go to very edges of the earth to dig up the hottest puta gems for the least amount of money. No stone is unturned and every find is talked about and debated. Dudes are willing to get robbed, mugged, and in some cases shot in bad sections of San Jose just to find that hidden "10" piece of ass. But when it comes to a guy who for all intents and purposes is part and parcel of a SJO institution, and the guy skips town and is "released from employment," we're supposed to just move on?

We are P4P detectives, gentlemen! Is it any wonder this whole Boyd thing doesn't pass the smell test. Wise up, fellas! You can detect an RFM from a mile away but you can't see the mess that just went down? I ain't gonna lie, I'm curious as hell. Besides, what's the harm in saying "Boyd was fired for cause?" We would mumble, gripe and then go back to our monger lives. But NOOOOOOOOO! Instead, we get the "Mistakes may have been made, please return to normal" line.

Bottom line: Boyd got fired. I could only imagine that if I were in a situation like Boyd, I would want my "friends" to know that I'm alright. I would come out and thank my "friends" for their kindness to me, my family and the CRT community through the years. On the opposite side, I would expect my "friends" to have my back. I would expect my "friends" to actually WANT to know what happened to me since they actually give a damn or at least said that they did when times were good. Since neither side is saying anything the speculation and stories will persist.

Since the prosecution is HLH management, the burden of making this right falls to them. I say it's best to deal with this right now, squash the rumors and innuendo and move on.

I have been a member of CRT for several years, own the cigar room at HLH. Boyd has been a distinguished member and poster on the board. I have worked in close proximity to him and often followed his advice.
Due to his status, It is only fair for you to ask him because only he has the exact informtion. I say this with all due respect to Boyd and the board.

what status does a guy who hits women have? and why would anyone protect someone who would do that regardless of the circumstances? either he hit the woman or he didn't. if it didn't happen it should be easy enough to say so imo.

My last trip the thing that stood out to me most was the amount of booze bk was drinking while working.....wtf....#1 why are you drinking while working, yes its costa rica and its a hooker hotel but you have the same duties to preform, checking in product,ordering, taking phone calls, watching the staff, taking bets and being the host of the bar and the hotel plus all the other crap that a gringo working in different country must put up with.

I would swing by in the am to get betting lines (marchmadness) and he would be getting his drink on then, by 4 or so we would stop in for hh and you could see a guy that has been drinking str for the last 4 hours, and I got to see that side of him that was ugly, where if he a problem with a girl or bartender he would go off on them right in front of all of us, i dont care where you are or who you are getting your ass reamed in front of the people you are servering is just wrong and a management style that wont work.

This played out for most everyday I was in town to the point where I told my wing, you can put a fork in this guy as he cant continue on this path, and i am have always liked bk but seen a change in him on that last trip.

I wish him well but if he just lets all the things being said about him on this site without telling his side, well lets just say crt is the least of his worries
