Allright cool, Lightning... we arrive the same day at the same time. You're not coming in from Houston by any chance?

Well the trip is less than a week away... looking forward to meeting Seawub, Redpirate, Big_Casper, RTDelta, Dr. Mario, Lngbdr, Sgt56, and Baddog44 who have told me they'll be there around the same time. Again, I'll be at the SL from the afternoon of Thursday the 12th and I can't remember the last time I've looked forward to a trip this much. Got my CRT card, condoms, and been on a Korean red ginseng regiment for the last week.... lol, nothing like having time to prepare. I'll probably abstain for about 3 days before. Ticas, get ready!

I've heard to expect rain, and I'm just wondering how best to handle that... 1) just get wet and look for a cab when its coming down, 2) carry an umbrella that I'll probably lose or 3) bring a light rain jacket that I'll probably lose?

Also, does anyone know if the SL have grounded outlets in the rooms (i.e. 3 prongs)?

I always travel with one of those small umbrellas. Before leaving the hotel, I check the sky. If there are rain clouds, I carry the umbrella. Almost always, you will know when to expect rain.
The SL rooms have three prong outlets.

This points out to me that I have not even considered what I will do if it starts to rain. I spend most of the time inside so I guess it does not matter much. But getting caught in heavy rain even on a short walk sucks. Got soaked on the way to SL from Castillo back in November and that is a very short walk. They allow umbrellas through security in the states?

As long as you don't try smuggling something in them, you can.

Sportsmens is a quick walk from HLH, about 5 blocks up the up the hill from HLH's front door. If you can find your way to parque Morazon you within a few blocks of just about everywhere. If you can get yourself to Calle 3 and Ave 9 your a block away. Keep in mind a lot of the streets are one way. If I am not mistaken Ave 9 only runs west, Ave 7 runs east. Calle 3 runs north. I am going off memory but hopefully that helps.

Awesome, thanks.....I think Calle 5 runs north into Ave 9, and then left from there, but hell, I might end up in Boston! LOL

....In my younger days, I'd just follow my dikker.....now I need a friggin GPS..........LOL

P.S. That friggin GIF makes me crazy, uh, crazier.

For the streets in SJ, go to Google Maps and enter San Jose, Costa Rica. Zoom in on the gulch to see the street names near Morazon Park near Ave 3 and Calle 5 or 7.

HLH as at the corner of Calle 3B and Ave 9. (Calle 3B is a diagonal street between Calle 3 and Calle 5). SL is in Calle 13, just north of Ave 9.

When you pay the VIP membership, you can print a good Monger Map from this web site.
