It'll be my first time mongering in Costa Rica. Last time I was there I was traveling around the jungles and beaches and didn't know Costa Rica had any beautiful women.

I'll be staying at the sportsman's lodge and hanging out mostly around there, though a round of golf or a trip to the beach might be fun.

I'm really looking forward to some relaxing, some adult beverages, a cuban cigar or two, and some hot bitties.

Is there a good place to hang out poolside with drinks, maybe a swim up bar at a hotel or something like that?

I'm sure I'll meet some dudes at the lodge but if anyone is planning on being there at the same time, hit me up. First round's on me.

Joe

Joe, unfortunately there aren't any mongering hotels with swimming pools that I know of in San Jose. You have a good choice for a hotel there, SL, as it was my base of operations for my 1st 2 trips. For a suggestion, Hotel Little Havanna is down the street from you. They have a large selection of Chicas for good prices, and a party atmosphere run by crt brother Bktuna/Boyd. Boyd has happy hour every day and is more than willing to help a newbie.

As for me, I will already be home by the time you land, but hopefully my hints will help you get started.

I would recommend whichever of the 2 you can get. Contact them both through their websites and see what you get back. The SL usually gets better results by emailing their info email address

Yo,

My old man will be down visiting me during that time and we always get a couple of rounds of golf in when he is here if you are game. Also, we will be doing some beaches as well, maybe a trip to the Cocal could be in order. I am always around. You can ask the bartenders at the lodge for me.

I will also be @ hemingway from 12 on. Lunch @ SL or happy hour @ HLH is a good time to plan things.

@Longboarder

At first I was like... "plan things?" I don't plan on planning much while I'm there. In fact I have a very rigid plan, which involves a regimented schedule of unplanned activity. Mostly trying to have as much fun as possible while limiting negative consequences like hangovers and STD's.

But then I realized you meant plan stuff like playing golf and going to the beach, which do require a bit of logistics. Makes me wonder if I still have my phone from when I lived in Argentina... it used a SIM card. Seems like having a phone would come in handy there.

Joe,
I will be at Sportman's from Jul 11 to 17th. This is my second time in CR.
It was a total culture stock, especially with the chinas. Most of the chinas speak some engish. I town engish is rare.
Had no problems walking around during the day. Need to use taxi at night. It's raining season, so bring rain coat.
I speak some spanish. I have been taking spanish lessons. If we meet up. I will take you on a tour of the city.
I have visited the HDR and HLH

@Sgt56

who are these chinas you speak of? I'm aware of ticas, nicas, colombianas, and dominicanas, but not chinas. I know in Spanish sometimes we call a guy Chino if he looks Asian. Is that what you refer to? thanks for the tip about a rain coat... though I suspect that would be hot, so maybe something lighter or a small umbrella? I'd love a little tour sometime thursday afternoon ill be at the SL

Joe,
I call working girls "Chinas" it is more polite. It can be for ticas or any nationality.
