My usual stance is that if a working girls lips are moving then there is a higher than normal probability that she is lying. Some of them are very good and elaborate as well. In the last week two more RFMs. One from a retired girl who I have seen on my last two visits. The other from a favorita who I have seen for TLN for the last 3 or so years and have never asked me for a dollar. Then there is one more girl that meets at the airport whenever I want and takes me to the hotel and also takes me back to the airport. I stopped sleeping with her almost 2 years ago (lack luster performer) and we are just friends. The only time she gets a dime from me is on her birthday and we also have lunch that I pay for at least once while we are in Costa Rica. Other than that she never even asks me for taxi money to come and see me at the airport or to go home after she leaves the airport.

To emphasize the point she even visited me on my last trip at the HLH and then insisted on her boyfriend coming there to meet me. Although, I really had no interest and could not care less she did it anyway. It was uncomfortable to say the least but, Boyd had my back. Good thing I was sick that night with a cold.

NOW back to the RFMs. So the retired girl I have seen on my last two trips says she needs some money. Before I give her my usual line about not being able to send money electronically, I reply with a request for her cedula. This is on the advice a few years back from the airport pickup friend (who has saved my ass way more than once). With the cedula (and here comes the gem) I plug it into the Costa Rican database:

Yep several lies. She claimed she had a son who is actually her husband. Present her with that information in a very friendly manner since I still might want to do her. But, the RFM dies immediately.

Next one is my TLN favorita. Same deal. request the cedula.

Lies are a little different. Legal name is not complete, more childen than a basketball team (most of which the father is unknown) and a couple of other things I will not post out of repect. However, she was the one who noted that if your keep sleeping with the same person over and over again over time it was difficult not to form feelings. I presented her with the information and I still have not given her the usual line yet because I also know that she is in the process of retiring too. She just hit 30 and learned English on her back and now is working in the tourism business.

My point is that I do not think it is wise to ever send money. But, if you do, then still consider that everything she has told you may and probably is a lie. Get the cedula and leverage that for more information. Once you have some infomation then it is easier to get them to give you more information, you will be surprised how much you don't know. I just hope that this saves a few guys a few dollars.

My favorite RFM was that her 85 year old grandma in Nicaraugua is in the hospital and needs a Kidney transplant which only costs $400. I laughed so hard that I did a spit-take. She got really pissed at me until she understood that her family in Nicaraugua was scamming her to get $$ from her gringo novio. Then she "acted" like she was pissed at them. Who knows, but I know that 85 year olds don't get kidney transplants and the operation costs way more than $400, even in Nicaraugua.

Sounds like she really gives a shit wether you come down or not (or live or die for that matter) - But what did you expect - never understood why guys share personal contact info with these girls, then are surprised when they prove to be what they are - but read on......

Get their info but don't give out yours - and sure, you can always say no to an RFM, but receiving one from some girl you thought you had a connection, thought your relationship was just a little better and different (only to find out you are nothing but one more in a long line of cocks ) almost always ends in hurt feelings - on the part of the guy - you gave a prime example; and while you did not commit the mistake of the year, you found out what the friendship you thought you had really was.

In 40+ trips, I only ever got 1 RFM, from a girl who had talked about me visiting her when she went back to Medellin, she wanted me to meet her family. Of course, I never sent the money & also never took her again. She asked me why I never take her anymore a couple of trips ago & I told her. The look on her face was priceless, the "que pena" look. Priceless.

Just an fyi, I usually give my info to a girl I have a good time with. But if you establish from the start that you're not a sucker, you won't have a problem.

I know I'm late to your comment, but it's not true of all of them. Some are really nice girls who don't like b.s., ie. Reichel from NF. She & I always laugh about how much we hate bullshit.

I once took a Dominicana from the Del Rey in the morning before my flight back. She left her watch in my room. I called her, but got voicemail. Didn't have enough time to go back to the Del Rey before my flight, so put the watch in my suitcase. Three months later, I come back, walk in the Del Rey & find her, give her the watch. She just looks at me, her eyes are tearing up. She tells her friend that she left this in my room the last time, the friend asks how long ago? She tells her 3 months. The friend looks at me like I had 3 heads. The Dominicana is crying & hugging me. The friend can't believe I went to the trouble of returning someone's property months after the fact.

The sad fact is, they believed that not many guys who go to CR would take the (admittedly minimal) trouble to treat them with basic courtesy.
