Quick question as I pack...

I am really a sandals and shorts guy, I'll probably stick away one nice shirt and some jeans, but otherwise I'm very casual. Is this going to be horribly out of place, or do I need to run out and pick up some nicer duds?

i've gone both ways...and some on the board will likely have stronger opinions than me...go with what you are comfortable with...if you don't get the results you desire...do something different next time...

wear what you want, there are no set rules. leave the nice watch at home though. I bought one from walmart for $7 that I wear in CR. Don't worry about looking like a gringo...you gringoness will stand out no matter what you wear. At HLH, ask Boyd what his recommendations are and tell him what you are looking for...he'll point you in the right direction. go to SL thursday night (their best night IMO). and most of all ENJOY and RELAX it's all good...you will remember this first trip forever!
