Just wanted to share a trick I've been using to navigate around foreign places without burning internet roaming charges. A $1.99 iphone app called oMaps http://omapsiphone.com/ let's you download a map before traveling and then just simply use the GPS function to plot your location. It doesn't do routing, but will give you location and bearing.

I've already loaded the map for the gulch and placed key placemarks for HDR, HLH, SL, etc.
