I spoke at length with Calvin(Kelvin). He swears there was no interaction with ******* and offered to resign. In my dealings with him he has been honest and straightforward. I was not there no idea what really happened, but it does not affect HLH and its customers at all.

One question- if it is true that this guys is a "wanna be gangster" and has threatened you for no reason while being armed, why in the world would you go back to HLH? If the event happened the way it did, and if you feel Boyd has not dealt with the problem, that does not stick me as the smartest thing to do, or that there is more to the story than you are telling us here. Why would he randomly choose you?

If there are security risks, I think all of us want to hear about them, regardless of where they occur, but your story is not adding up.

Also, are you implying that Boyd admitted that his man threatened you? You intimated this, but were not direct.

I have no desire to defend Boyd- I like the guy but don't know him well enough to call him a friend. Your post just screams "agenda," and it does not seem as if you were an innocent victim here. I just asked you to provide more details, since you seen to put out this information for a reason (i.e. to warn people). The comment about "pounds of flesh" got my curiosity up.

There has been a lot of venom splattered over this board in just a couple of days about some alleged debt and the resulting dispute over it.

How much money is supposed to be involved so as to get so exercised about it, and to cause us all to be exposed to this hateful venom?

Just curious.

If Kelvin is the big black guy that drives the van, then this is really weird. The worse he ever did to me was not show up in time to give me a ride to the airport, lol. He has always been cooler than the other side of the pillow around me. I am not doubting anyone's account here, but something seems amiss........mistaken identity?

Are you sure you're talking about the same Kelvin? I met him on my first trip to San Jose a couple of years ago and have always found him to be friendly whenever and wherever I happen to run into him.

I just got back from spending a week at the HLH. I have nothing but great things to say about the total experience........and have no concerns about the security. In fact, I thought they we're great guys who did a really nice job.

For others reading this - In case you did not pick up on it ........

This thread is really not about "security" at HLH - other dynamics at work here - and since we are unlikely to get the "full story" - and you could make the case we are not so entitled - I'd leave it there, because more comments about how guys "feel safe" while staying there is really NOT what this thread is all about, and I have no inside knowledge except a little perception and common sense.

For the record, I really dislike airing an issue in public, then telling none of the story, or worse, leaving out huge parts - but that's their right - my vote is no one needs to fear for their safety while getting their nobs slobered over at HLH, and I'd just as soon leave it there.
