Nice site, I was using a different one from Master Pago to recharge and it can be a pain in the ass. They are looking for colones in the amount section. So if you put in $500 you'll get roughly a dollar worth of credit. Need to rcharge once every 4 months or so they told me at the ICE office in Quepos and at the Kolbi desk at the airport, and as reported above. Even only 100 colones, or supposedly you'll lose your balance and your number. Why if you've got plenty of $$ in the account.?
The Master Pago site won't take that small of an amount, but it has taken 500 colones from me. Thanks for steering me to this site.

In the past, when SIMS expired after 30 days, I would recharge for ¢50 colones at Masterpago.com. Never had any issues with small amounts. The allowed range is 50-10,000. This site is another option in case the other is down and this is direct to ICE.

FYI, be sure to use the WWW if visiting the Masterpago site. Apparently their developer hasn't learned the simple task of redirecting non-www entries to the main domain. It goes to an ad page without the WWW.

Here's the link to Master Pago recharge. Click on the recargo automatic link upper left.

A year ago when I opened my account with them, you had to scan and then email them your passport, dick around with this and that after they gave you an initial code, it was a pain in the butt, over an hour I remember. Don't know if you still have to do that. And often I have trouble getting it to go thru, especially small amounts. Orange hasn't so maybe it's something on my end, but I've done it with 3 different computers.

But the ICE site posted above didn't ask for anything except my tel # and up popped my name, so I'd try that first.

Just tried the ICE recharge site, much better than Master Pago, on the printable confirmation it has your name and tel #. MP's receipts do not, only an auth #. ICE's minimum was 100 colones which I did. I did notice they charged me 11 colones tax and I am not sure Master pago was taking out the tax. all in all alot faster and I like the name and tel number on the receipt.
