According to an article in today Diario Extra there will be no water in the gulch on Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

For two consecutive days, a total of 610 thousand people from different parts of the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) will be without water for 12 hours, but such suspension shall be divided in two. Meanwhile, seven counties in the province of San José and Cartago one of the second group will be affected, as will be dry on Saturday. It is estimated that water shortages will hurt 550 000 people and the service will be suspended from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm

The places are harmed Coronado, Curridabat, Homeless, Goicoechea, La Union, Montes de Oca, Moravia and San Jose.

To address the shortage, the AyA will provide the service via tankers in Coronado, Curridabat, Homeless, Goicoechea and Zapote and in hospitals San Juan de Dios and the Women's Clinic and Marcial Fallas.

The first suspension was scheduled for March 3 last and the second was for the March 17, but the Ministry of Culture asked for the cancellation of that time expected an influx of people for the International Festival of Arts ( FIA), so that was passed by 31 of the current month.

I was in ZB around 2006-07 when there was a water outage. We "washed" (more like rinsed off) with huge bottles of [cold] water they brought in. It was not easy and not fun.

Keeping fingers crossed. It is 9:40 am and no outage yet in the SL neighborhood. Hopefully, this area isn't affected today. :D
