Glad someone said it, even in semi-gest. It is getting old, IMHO.
I apologize if it comes across that I am hyping Medellin. But there are many members on this board who are approaching retirement age or others who are considering an early retirement & it behooves them to consider Medellin as an "expat option".

I lived in CR for many years & with the benefit of hindsight I can emphatically say that I wish that I had moved to Medellin rather than CR. I am so much happier in Medellin than I ever was in CR & to be honest I have considerably less financial assets than when I made the move to the beach in CR many years ago.

Obviously YMMV.

Medellin Es Una Chimba!!
It does not seem like your hyping Medellin- I work there from time to time, and love it. To be straight up, it seems like your hyping your "services- that is the part that is getting old. I love Medellin, great place. It just gets tiresome when it seems you are pitching our business on every post, regardless of the topic. We had a guy here Frank Casio that did the same things for a while, a few years ago. I think folks like you and you have become part of the in crowd, so I am not sure you will hear the same feedback, but that is my opinion.
Frank Casio, Frank Casio....I'm going to open my veins  Of all the posters - even Rolltide - Frank Casio was the one who annoyed me the most - a shameless asshole who was not even a paid CRT member, much less a sponsor. Added zero to the board other than shilling constantly for his shitty apartments and "guide services"

I see your point Hank - but MP does not rise (or sink  ) to the level of a Frank Casio; yeah, he has a lot of posts and does promotion of his services, but the fact remains that there are many guys who need the services he offers - while I'd maybe like to see more guys post across the board vs one forum, his posts don't annoy me like Franks.

Just MO and you are certainly entitled to yours :)

Thanks for comparing me to Frank Casio.

I will continue to post useful information & will make an effort to not "hype" my business. If anything that I post offends you please feel free to send me a PM. I am not part of any sort of "in" crowd. If you knew me you would know that I do my own thing. I could care less about being part of a clique. I am not interested in a popularity contest.

What I do try to do is present useful information about Medellin. Many of the CRT Old Guard have shifted their interest to Colombia & especially Medellin. Members like GoodtoGo (GTG) who lived in CR have sold-out & relocated to Medellin. As I mentioned before I have the benefit of living in both CR & MDE as well. Whether good or bad many of the Newbies are also by-passing a trip to CR & instead coming directly down to Medellin. I know that this board is primarily a CR Board but it seems that the consensus is that Medellin is definitely a point of interest to many members (both new & old).

I hope that I have properly addressed your concerns. Long Live Frank Casio.

I've always wondered what gives Jaco beach sand that dirty greasy look. I think its the only beach in Cr that I've seen like that. So a sewage filled river empties into the ocean nearby? Damn I knew that MA is a turd pond but it sure doesn't look anything like Jaco. 8)

It's a'll the beach towns also, and not just stuff from SJ and all the towns and pueblos along the way via the major rivers. The beach towns towns don't have treatment facilities either, (other than Liberia if you'd call that a beach town--one of only 2 in the entire CR,) and the hotels' septics are ancient, non existent, or full. All those little 3-4 foot streams headed into the ocean you see as you walk a beach, that's full of raw sewage or septic over flow or stuff coming from some pueblo in more remote beaches. Just follow one of them back past the maritime line if you are bored and the further you get to the hotels, the stinkier it gets. I cringe when I see Ticas let their toddlers play in that stuff.
