I'm back on a health kick and have found a new spot where I go and get my breakfast. It is a little juice bar that is right across the corner from Clinica Morazon. If you were going up the hill from HLH towards soda Peru, go to the main street, cross and take a left. It is on the corner. 3 fruits in a good size drink for 1100 colones. No crap added unless you want sugar. Anyhow, just thought I'd share with you guys who like to get your vitamin on during the day.

Xpatriot, there is a little vegetarian restaurant right next door. Haven't tried it, but it smelled very good when I went there yesterday. Thought I smelled curry.

Nice find TW. I had a strawberry smoothie (in milk) there on Monday. About 14 ounces for ¢1050 (900+150 in milk). The natural juices/smoothies come in water but be made in milk for 150 extra. They also make milk shakes, with ice cream or frozen yogurt.

I picked up a menu and posted it on my webspace: http://home.roadrunner.com/~orange/crt/ ... t_menu.jpg

That blonde working the register is very cute. Nice smile. And she's curvy which is exactly my type, I'm not into spinners. If I wasn't leaving 3 hours later when I was there on Monday, I'd see what's up with that.

And would somebody get them some lids. They have an interesting machine to put saran wrap on top of the cup. But it's heat applied, so it's not messy.

That's good news. I was considering posting a question about vegetarian places in sjo, but I figured it would yield zero comments. I recently went mostly vegetarian, and my cholesterol and blood pressure both dropped like a rock. Good to know I can stay with it on my next trip.

Good to see brothers trying to stay healthy. I'm coming down for a month in June and am interested in knowing where good veggie meals and juicing is located. I changed my diet to add more fruits and vegetables and a lot of juicing in January. Four months later I am 30 pounds lighter, feel great and my libido is less dependent on pills!

Holler when you are here. I have another place I go to also called Cosechas (sp). My fruit smoothie place is breakfast and Cosechas is usually lunch. My favorite there is pineapple, banana, beet and spinach.

Does anyone know of a place that has fresh passion fruit juice (Chinola, Parchita, or Maracuya depending on location). I got hooked on that in the DR and was able to find some fresh fruit to make my own but you need a blender and strainer to make it.

Spelled correctly and here's the site (they're big):
http://www.cosechas-express.com/cetacea ... ory=156403 << Click on any location on the left to get all the info about all the stores from that locale << >> Be careful with that menu--my tonsils get a chubby just lookin'...
