Hey all,

I'm new to this forum and have enjoyed reading it the past few months.

I'm leaving CR on May 11th and I bought literally $1000 of nice stuff from CEMACO for my apartment, now my landlord is refusing to pay me for any of it.

Carpets, bath rugs, bowls, a twin mattress... all barely used... I'm looking to unload for half the price i bought it for or less.

Any advice about what to do with it? There's no Craigslist in SJ and I don't feel like paying $30 for an ad in the Tico Times.

With all due respect... let me see if I have this right.
1. You expected your landlord to pay you for stuff you bought for your apartment. Where are you from?
2. You have been reading this forum for months and you never joined as a VIP.
3. You want us to help you.

You could always donate the stuff to some well deserving chica and her family. You could also hit the DR next to the cigar man and see what you could get from some gringo. Other than that I'm not much help. Sorry.

With all due respect, I'm not a VIP member b/c I have a gf and don't need to pay for bjs right now.

I'm from NYC, and maybe I should have noted that my landlord initially agreed to buy some of the stuff from me - we made a deal. Now he's broke and will only pay me for the mattress.

He wanted to create a perfect fully furnished bachelor pad for people like the ones on this board...

Anyway, anyone with constructive advice?

Back to the original question. Sorry buddy...dont know how to help. Maybe some of the guys that live down there might be in need of some stuff for their apartments.
