Has anybody tried this little Indian restaurant directly across from the Colonial? Wondering if the food is decent? Would be great if it was. Just happened to notice it for the first tiime the other day as I don't normally walk down that street.

The best Indian food I had so far is unfortanately in Escazu, the Taj Mahal, very pricey but if you are obssessed with Indian food like me worth a one time 20 dollar round trip. I did the same in Thailand, went to an Indian Restaurant way out of the way but it was great too.

It's been a while but I definitely agree on Taj Mahal. Was just hoping this small restaurant might be good enough to try some take out every now and again. I will take one for the team and order something in the next week.

Taj Mahal is excellent but extremely pricey. I hope the new place is good.

The owner is from Pakistan. I suppose they can make Indian food. Never had it there.

I was introduced about 3 weeks ago to the owner and his wife by a client who was born in India and now lives here. Maybe it has since changed hands. What info do you have Z?

Oh, I will definitely give it a try this week. Thought about it yesterday, but it was an odd time, like 2:30pm when I walked by yesterday and I wasn't ready for lunch or dinner. Possibly today, let me see where I am around 6ish this evening. I might not be the good guinea pig though, because I am not a picky eater. I like a lot of the restaurants that get slammed here.

I love Indian food, so I went there the second day it was opened. It was less than mediocre to be kind, and about $23. Haven't been back

Really? What kind of meal did you have for $23? Was it several courses? I finished work a little while ago, took a shower and decided to give it a try for some take out, but as luck would have it, they were closed. Was hoping it was Mom and Pops type take out. If you were giving a good review, might be somewhere to go for a nice meal every once in a while, but now am discouraged. Will probably still give it one try for myself but thanks for the intel.

What a shame. I was excited by the thought of an Indian restaurant within walking distance.
