Hi PHD,
I did. You still can make regular reseravtion for $99 a night. Not dishing out $1000. Just wanted to know what I can expect as to ladies and entertainment at this location.
Thanks

I'm glad M is getting guests. I wouldn't expect too much in terms of experience or service, at least not compared to what it was before. No ladies on premises, at least not when I used to stay there; ladies were called in for parties.

Not sure if the bar is even open these days.

Just think of it as a place to hang your hat and you'll be fine. Hope you got room 1 or 2.

Please post about your experiences; there hasn't been any recent intel about M for a while, even from people who used to stay there all the time.

After reading the string further and the story I think I need to go to plan B. Safety is my first concern and sounds like the hotel has been empty. Front desk said I can pick any room as there are no reservations. Can't imagine it's properly kept if no one is staying there.

Has anyone stayed there the last 2 wks?

Hotel M is in a rough patch right now, legally speaking. The above link has most of the details. I always liked M -- stayed there once. But I would definitely have a backup plan. You might show up and the place boarded up.

More reasons - as if they were needed  - to "pass" on their offer of pre paid rooms - Never stayed there but visited - I like being able to walk to places so not the place for me; plus at one time the place was really pricey for a room (like $150 - 200 and not worth it to me).

Sad that they seem to be hitting hard times, because for a while they filled a niche some guys seemed to want and even though it was not a choice for me personally, happy to see more options for all.

Trying to find options but being Superbowl weekend others are sold out. We are a group of 4. Can anyone confirmm that they are still open? If they are, are they down to skeletal crew? Hotel M didn't ask for credit card to secure reservation and I told them we'd pay cash when we get there. So far, no financial risk.
