I stayed at HLH last weekend, and had a great time. Boyd has mentioned on this site before that the kitchen is now open. Breakfast was good and cheap compared to most of the regular monger establishments. I was even able to add a pork chop to my breakfast order one morning. As far as breakfast goes, I rate it much higher than anything I have had at Sportsman's over the past three years. Not that SL is bad, I just thought HLH was better. I was more skeptical when Boyd suggested the meatball sub or philly cheese steak, but to my surprise the meatball sub was AWESOME! I liked it so much I had another the next day. I didn't get a chance to try the philly before leaving.

Y'all try the reuben, excellent and very lean corned beef. What was her name that you added to your breakfast? I don't know any girl in the lineup at HLH that goes by Porkchop, but I'm sure that many will answer to that if you have money. :D

It was good to see you there Boynton.

Florida John: I'm surprised we missed seeing each other at HLH, as I was staying there the same time.

The reuben is so good, I almost recommended it to a couple of ecotourists staying at LaAmistad, instead I played it safe and sent them to Cafe Mundo

Good call, Boynton, we don't need any shock and awe with the ecos when they come to HLH.

Oh by the way, and I'm sorry if I'm off topic, but when I was at my hotel, eating a quiet breakfast with my chica, completely polite and low key, some eco tourist dried up old Birkinstalked-clad gringa bitch made a point of leaning over and staring at us with a grin throughout our meal. We ignored her, but if she had said anything I would have laid into her with a verbal two by four to the head.
