Got my passport before making my last trip to CR in 2010, and got it stamped on entry. Paid my tax on the way back, and I presume everything is fine. However, I was reading some generic Google info on passport stamps, and some sites mention that countries can require exit stamps. I didn't miss anything did I? That one stamp does look sort of lonely, guess I will have to head down there more often. Just don't want to show up at the airport and have any issues.

Not a problem...They stamp your exit tax reciept there, not your passport. It IS a problem in other countries..like Argentina..but not in CR.
