Wow, I decided today that I am going to take my first trip to CR the end of October and was informed that SL is completely booked that weekend. Decisions Decisions...HLH?

HLH is a great place to stay if you can't get in at the SL-both have fine owners/managers and they are great people as well. Mis dos centavos/colones

Thank you.......that was going to be my next choice....I have to wait until the end of January to find out for sure I got the time off from work...What I would like to do is San Jose Halloween weekend then go to somewhre on the coast for 3-4 nights then back to San Jose for 2-3 nights before I head home the next weekend....Maybe the Lodge will have availability on Fri. Nov.2-4th?

Yep! I asked in November and they were completely booked. I am on the waiting list for Halloween weekend.

You won't be sorry if you stay at HLH. I've not stayed at SL although I've been there many times.

I can't even imagine a better place for our hobby than HLH.

Damn, I took some pain meds for a bum shoulder for a few days this past week and I think maybe they tweeked out my brain. Did I sleep through quite a few months and lose time? It is still January, yes?

We are starting to get full for Halloween, but still ahve some availability. We will be having our party eaarlyin the evening like last year so we can all enjoy both HLH and SL on Halloween.
