hey guys i use the majicjack to call home for free from anywhere in the world. It is only $20 a year total. All u need is a plain old wall phone and a lap top with internet. Check it out on Youtube for yourself if you don't beleive me. It really works well. FYI

There are probably 100 of us on this board that have been using MJ for years. But thanks for the tip. :lol: (I'm glad u didn't break the news that you have this thing called "the internet". :P )

Google Voice is what I use. No program to install. Sign up for the service and you get a local US # and free calls anywhere in US and Canada.

I make calls using my G Talk account all the time on my gmail web page. Plug in my headphones and you are there......

If you have an Android or iPhone then Viber can also be interesting. Like Skype it can sit on your phone and you can receive and make calls over wifi. Lots of alternatives these days. But, I also have been using the MJ for years as well.
