Thanks to all who organized and maintained the contest. I had a really good time. I think I ended up picking more games than anyone. May not have been the best strategy, but it kept me closer to teams or even conferences otherwise I would never follow. Thanks guys :D

Orange and BK . You missed my Stanford pick which would have made me 3-1 on the last week for a 58.9%

Buzzfla,
I didn't miss it. It was not counted because it was an invalid pick. It was made after the game had already started. While the ball may not have been kicked off due to pre-game show or whatever, the official listed game time was 8:30pm. The pick was was made at 8:39pm. Sorry.

The three winners need to PM me theier real names and an email address so I can set up and fund their lazydaywager accounts. I will then email you logins and passwords.

Once again thanks to all who participated and especially Orange for helping out and Lucky13 for splitting the prize funding with me.

Thanks again to Bktuna and Orange for running this contest. I look forward to it again next year. Last year I was 4th out of 21 guys,
and this year I was 5th out of 25 guys. Just missed being in the money both years. If only teaser picks could count, then I could win
it - LOL! I am 27-10 on the season on my teaser picks (always the standard 2 teams, 6 points at -110 or better), including 17-0 during
the past seven weeks. My real winning percentage on my straight plays was actually worse than it was in this contest
though - 33-29-2 (53.23%) for an overall record of 60-39-2 (60.6%). No season win totals this season for me (even though I am
13-6-2 lifetime on them) as the lockout scared me off!

Let's hope that my Packers repeat as World Champs this season!

Great job both Orange and BK. By the way my Stanford pick was made during the last seconds of the Rose Bowl game whick the Stanford game started afterwards. Thats ok cause I went 7-1 last two weeks and made a lot from my regular book. Great it was a lot of fun even with all that bullshit involved. Maybe next year a $300 prize for the most wins that should keep people playing. Congrats to the winners they used good staregy and to wingnut for a great finish. BK as posted on this board that you are a stand up guy I know you will make my next visit to HLH right.(joke) Happy New Year see you in March. Buzz

If he ever needs employment Orange would have a great career as a political spin doctor. :P

It was lots of fun again this year. Almost wish I hadn't been so lucky after Week 6. I was languishing at 10-10 and then got lucky for the next 7 weeks going 29-12 ending up 39-22. So I "missed" the last 5 weeks. :?

Good thing too 'cause after that I picked without posting 'em and I would've ended up mid-pack if I kept playing !!!

Thanks to BK and Orange. Appreciate all the hard work. I've run pools before myself and it can be a real pain in the butt.

Great going guys !!!

I can relate to you Spock. In my real bets, I was 31-31-2 during the first 10 weeks of the NFL season, going 21-21-2 on my straight plays
and 10-10 on my teasers (always the standard 2 teams, 6 points). During the last seven weeks of the regular season, I went an astonishing
29-8, going 12-8 on my straight plays and a perfect 17-0 on my teasers. It should be noted that I teased a total of 16 teams during my 17-0 run on teasers, and 15 out of the 16 teams that I teased covered the regular pointspread, and hence I didn't even need the extra 6 points to win them. The only team that I teased that didn't cover the regular spread was the Seattle Seahawks in week 16 who lost by 2 points as a 1.5 point 'dog to the 49ers, but they obviously easily covered the 6 point teaser spread of +7.5. So my actual record on my NFL straight plays this season of 33-29-2 (53.2%) isn't that impressive, just barely in the money. But my spectacular teaser record of 27-10 is what carried me this season, and hence is why I went 60-39-2 (60.6%) overall. Of course, there are still a few playoff games left.
