There are people on here trying to impress others with "how great they are"; how great their "game" is; how important what you, as an individual, pay is; and telling "old fat MONGERS" they should only go after the chicas who really like them and are willing to "give" it to them!!! These chicas are not in this for the "fun", the pleasure, nor to find the "love of their life"!! They are doing it for ONE reason-- to make money (in most cases) to support their K*ds and/or family; NOT TO GIVE IT AWAY!

What one pays is between the "MONGER" and the chica! AND what he pays depends on his attitude towards her; his appearance; his smell. how he treats her; and, yes, to an extent, "how she feels about him". Seldom will 2 guys end up paying the same chica the same amount total, seldom will 2 guys treat a chica the same nor get treated the same by her; and very very very seldom will a guy get "it" totally free--there is always a "catch" to "free"!!!!!! In the long run (or in the short run) it all comes down to how much she can extract from the MONGER, and how much she NEEDS the money at the moment, and much less whether she "likes" him or not! How could ANY chica really LIKE having sex with some of us old farts??? but yet you see them all the time ACTING like they are totally in love with us!

I don't think these chicas are all that different than us. I can go to any of the venues 3-4 days in a row and everything is so repetitive. You see the same scenarios played out by different faces, thousands of times a day, everyday. Now, if it all starts looking the same to me, who isn't there all that much, how must it look to the ladies. I think they just want to get through the day as easily as possible and make a few bucks. Was in the DR a few weeks before things slowed down and just for fun tried to spot an example of each of the stereotypes. I spotted the guy that was all serious and involved with a chica. Could tell there had been days of drama. The Stud! Yes, he is the man of the moment! BUT, there was a guy like him a week ago and there will be one this week! The loud guy: flashing money, trying to impress! Fun to play. I have noticed for years, the same men are there everyday, only the faces change. Happy New Year and good hunting to all! Nothing is serious! Make it the 2012 motto.

Cujo, You apparently fail to understand one thing. This is after all a MONGERING SITE and NOT a dating site. It is not "Match. com", "Spanish eyes", or any of the other vast number of Latin "dating" sites. It is also not an instructional site for "how to seduce the naive Latin American female." Most of the working chicas have forgotten more about the "games" of gringos than mongers OR "studs" will ever know.

Being respectful, courteous, and pleasant and well groomed will go a long way toward attracting chicas and they will usuallly treat you the same way they are treated. If they don't, then they are not the one you want to spend time with anyway.

Whether someone pays cien, ochenta, setenta, or sesenta does it really matter?????

I would say the average price for a girl is ochenta dolares--correcto??!?!? Let's say I am not able to get a girl for this, is $20 going to make a difference for most? If it does, than cut the ties and move on to another.

There are so many factors and variables that can go into whether or not one should pay cien or not--and in the end what does it matter?? Did you have a great time? Was the time well valued for what you paid?

I am in the process of writing my trip report for my fist trip to CR, but I will say I never paid cien for 1 hour. However, if you take into consideration the time I spent getting to know a girl, the interview, a few drinks, dancing, etc...one could say that maybe I did pay cien. If you equate that I did pay cien, does it really affect you (ustedes) on whether you will pay cien or not??

Girls can ask all day long for cien; they may get it or they might not get it. But I think it is a matter of how you play your game and has nothing to do with anyone else.

I met some girls that wanted nothing but cien---I am sure they were as mechanical as could be and being able to interview them and realize this gave me the information I needed to move on without hesitation. I actually did not think it was that difficult to realize these girls even after being there just for a short time.

I actually met one girl that was set on cien and would not budge, but after about 20 minutes of talking she came down to $80. Unfortunately I was hanging with my wing and some other guys I had met and said a little later, but by the time I was ready she was gone. So I will have to wait until my next trip and hope I can find this gem.

As you don't need to know Spanish, I think it is definitely a plus even if you just learn some basic verbs, vocab, and phrases. I think that there is more possibility for the girls to open up with you when you are able to speak their language. I have had the priviledge of being able to take 4 semesters in college and learn the grammar that goes along with the conversation, but using Rosetta Stone along with a workbook can also go along way. Personally, I found that speaking Spanish made my time with the girls more fun.

In closing, what matters most is if you feel you are getting good value for what you are paying. If you are overpaying, it has no bearing on what I am going to pay on my next visit. There are always going to be the guys that have thick wallets and will overpay, and there will even be the guys that have a budget that will overpay as well.

USA it is really more a religion or mantra to some! Been around for at least 7 years that I know of. Extreme factions of any type of group will tend to be more dogmatic than the average Joe. You are right!
