STANDINGS WEEK 17Big fight for 3rd place.
1st and 2nd place are not locked up. There are a couple of players who can move up with a good week.
Nice to see 3 of the top 4 are pulling a Jose Reyes and sitting out the last few weeks in an effort to win the batting title!!

Hey it is within the rules so go for it. Kinda like the old Carolina 4 corners offense.
Maybe next year we adopt some rule(s) concerning actually picking the last 3 weeks of the year? 1 pick, possibly 2? Could promote some standings movement to keep things interesting. Again, not trying to diminish the top pickers this year...
Great minds think alike ?
Was thinking the exact same thing to keep interest going in the last few weeks. Possibly a requirement could be that the top 10 MUST make at least 3 picks each of the last 3 weeks ?
Of course then the "maximum" number of games picked requirement would need to be re-visited as well.

Guys sitting out do so at their own peril. Cubby lost 3rd place this week and if Buzzfla this week has a repeat of last week he will move into number 2 assuming NHhank continues to sit on the bench.
I personally have no problem with guys sitting out if they are on top and have picked the minimum of games necessary. Makes it easier to figure out how many games you need to pick to have a chance of ousting them from their position.
A "glass half full" kinda guys. Kudos.
Hank did it (sat out) the last week last year and as I recall I calculated I would have had to go 3-0 to pass him. However, that meant if I went 2-1 or worse someone could have caught ME for 2nd so I decided to sit it out as the risk of trying to capture first was outweighed by the risk of losing out of the top 3.
