I generally do not bring enough clothes to last the duration of my trip. When I stay in the gulch for the entire trip I have had laundry done at the hotel. For me they charge too much. They are welcome to charge whatever they want, they know their business better than I do but it is too much for me.
Is there a laundry or a laundromat handy to the Bario Amon hotels to avoid the hotel pricing?

Big big big weak spot in the gulch. La amistad does laundry for tips for guests. Everywhere else USA hotel prices.

Not so. Do a search using the term "laundromat" and you will find a couple of places in the gulch that do laundry.

Search function seems to be a lost art on CRT :(

there's a laundromat with cheap prices on the south side of Ave 2, between calles 7 & 9, basically right
in back of the Prez. Convenient for the gulch but not really for Barrio Amon

There's another laundromat one block south of the National Theater. It's upstairs, on the northeast corner of a pedestrian intersection.
Just walk across the street from the theater, past the ICE office and the little grocery market on the corner. The laundromat is sort of right over the little market, but the entrance is on the side street.
You can buy soap and stuff there, but you can also buy it at the market.
