This is what happens when you let the rules slide. Admin publishes the rules which say ALL picks must be in before the kickoff of the first game of the week. Then BKTuna says he is not going to enforce that rule and you can pick a game as long as it is before kickoff for that game. That has led to guys picking college games on one day and pro games on another day. Had the rule on time of picks been enforced the situation would not have occurred but it is a bit late to start reinterpreting the rules again so I guess we will have to live with guys posting two separate picks one college and one pro.

I agree if it was your money to loose.. but it is all in fun... the less rules the better
IMO more rules more bitching...

after reading IDs post... when the lines do not get posted until Thursday it is hard to enforce the first kick off game rule... It is not like they wait for the line to change :?:

Just another thing that got messed up. Lines were suppose to be posted on Tuesday and last year they were. This year BK's professional obligations prevented him from devoting the time necessary to post the lines on Tuesday or to even post the results and that is understandable as his job has to come first. Fortunately Orange stepped up and calculated the results and posted them and has continued to do so.

It is very hard to please every one. The problem with posting the lines on Tuesday is that there are A lot of games that don't have the
lines posted do to key players being hurt or suspended.

Anytime you have a contest with prizes there are rules. The rules established this year

"Each week BKTUNA/Boyd will post the college and Pro Football lines on Tuesday. Each Particpant can pick a maximum of three college and three pro-games against the spread. The participants will post their picks each week on this thread for all to see before the kickoff of the first game (typically Thursday evening) "

are basically the same as those of last year when the lines were posted on Tuesday but where the Thursday rule was ignored.

You can disagree or agree with the rules but when you sign on to participate you you tacitly agree to abide by the published rules. Once you allow an exceptions to made to a rule you open the door to other rules being ignored as we have seen.

I personally believe the Thursday rule is unnecessarily restrictive and should be abolished if the challenge is renewed next season. However should it be a rule it should be enforced as to allow some to pick after the deadline that others are abiding by results in an playing field that is not level. As to certain lines not being available on Tuesday what is the problem with that? Those games are simply off the board for everyone who is playing. Nothing unfair there.

My 2 cents,,,,,,

So long as the games are picked before kickoff of THAT game, I don't really care.

As for the "rule" (before kickoff of the first game Thursday) I think that's very impractical. Frankly I don't even think about the games before Friday and, in fact, at least once this year inadvertently picked the Thursday night game on Friday (corrected of course)

As for the scorekeeper though (Orange) it is just more work. If he doesn't care, I don't.

But can we get a ruling on the picking College on Friday or even Saturday morning and then picking the Pro games on Sunday morning ???

TIA

since I only played 2 times this year (losing record) I dont have much of a fight in this one but as for me ....to much work for a free contest ....I suggest next year we do a survival loser league , where you pick the loser each week and can only pick a team once ....no spreads, no ncaa ,only nfl , easy to keep track of. If you dont place your pick on week 1 then you cant play in it (for the year) no need to see lines on tuesday.....just put your pick in ....something to think about and less work but just as much fun .....in the one we have here $10 a pick and we had 158 people enter ...and were down to 5
