Hi all,

I am planning to visit Costa Rica at the middle to end of December for vacation. Will there still be any hot ladies around in San Jose or Jaco Beach around Christmas time?

Damn that sucks. I might as well try to find a tica girlfriend then. I speak fluent Spanish so this will help.
Anyways if I don't use my vacation I lose it so might as well go and have fun and maybe catch me a Marlin.

Mid to late Dec. can be a magical time in SJ join VIP and read a couple of my old Christmas/Festival de Luz reports.

With fluent spanish you won't even have a problem, like Srilm says might be a little slow 24-26, but there will be plenty for you to have a blast with. Book that flight and room , cowboy up Amigo

I'm considering a trip that last week of December - did you book your dates yet? Where are you staying?

I will be in Jaco Beach from Dec 28-Jan1, then San Jose from Jan 2 to Jan 4th. First time to Central america, let alone Costa Rica. Looking forward to the trip, getting some dental work done, and actually enjoying a vacation with the opposite sex for the first time in my life (and I am hitting FIFTY)

speaking for myself I take less then hot. IT is the efforts she is going to put forth , and skill in which she does "stuff" that I prefer --- she may be hot but if she lays there like a pine board with a knot hole in her,smoking a cig as she is filling her purse with every thing that is not nailed down and some thing that are nailed down while taking to her friend on the phone and telling you not to touch this or that and that times up ( funny how there watches always run faster then mine?? ) , what's the point, a cold beer is far more fun.

I take your point (and agree with you to a large extent ) but I think the inquiry was simply would there be girls around - a day or so before Christmas, and a day or 2 afterwards, the amount is likely less, but economic necessity being what it is I don't think I'd worry too much.

OTOH, its not a time of the year I would choose (along with Holy Week) if I had other options.

Also to Sjenner -know in advance that Jaco has limited options (really the Beatle/Beetle Bar - I've never seen anything in the Monkey Bar and the other place mentioned in over 10 trips in Jan at the height of tourist season - the BB is your best option at night and daytime options are pretty much nil).

Yeah, pretty much anywhere - and in San Jose, you might find the "gal" on the street is packing a "surprise" (not a gal at all, if you take my point ) - I'd avoid 'em, although you may be approached in Jaco.

Do as much board reading as you can, especially Orange's "Tips for Newbi's" before you go - tons of info but the reading makes it worthwhile - while CR is a go w/ the flow and don't overplan place, the more you know before your trip the better time you will have, believe me.

It will be in season by then. There are daytime chicas around but nothing that is consistent. You can check the pool deck at the Copacabana. Check the pool deck at the Cocal. Chicas on Bohio St. and the bar at the end on the beach, Bubba's Tacos, have action off and on.

Thanks Third World, I welcome any tips that keep me from trolling on the streets, especially in Jaco. Of course, what can be hidden under a thong (That is a dangerous question to ask, and one to which I probably don't want to know the answer)?
