Hi,

I am new to this message board and have been trying to read as many posts as possible on this board. I have one week off and decided to spend some time in Costa Rica--I initially thought about La Fortuna area and then the beach, then that switched to the beach and then the north cental valley to spend some time near Rio Celeste---I then thought HDR or SL or HLH first, then beach, and Rio Celeste---

I wasn't thinking about the affects of the holidays with visiting San Jose and have read the posts I could find concerning this. It seems there are a mix of responses that suggest both for and against during this time.

I recently have decided to just skip this portion in another post, but then thought I should post here, get your advice, and then decide. I am sure it will be less likely to get a tour during this time, but am open to the possibility.

Things are slow around that time, but there are plenty of guys around with nothing to do...... Especially before the holiday a lot of women will be scrambling for $$$ to buy gifts.... Also, you will run into a lot of part timers trying to get $$$ for the gifts as well. So I say happy hunting....... I will be here.....I always am...

I will also possibly be there between 19th and 27th. Anyone else have some thoughts on those dates? Best time for me with work to take off, I was in Lima last year which was a blast. Christmas day everything is CLOSED I know, but I usually just bring a book and relax at the pool that day anyway.

I sent an email to Pops about availability for a tour, but I am guessing this will be a difficult time to line one up.

If anyone has availability or knows of someone with availability please let me know.

Just make friends at the SL, pretty easy to do there..those guys will show you around without charging you...
