It seems that several restaurants were closed in SJ due to tax problems, including Manolo, Criolito and Chelles. I wonder how long it will take to get them back open, if at all. See today's amcostarica.

Reading further down, there's a translation from the local Spanish press saying 40 businesses including the national guaro factory were shut down for a week due to tax issues. It's evidently an effort at culture change. Good luck with that.

Is Criolita back open? I'm thinking of a visit soon.
