Hi Everyone,

First post here. I'm glad I stumbled upon this site. Lots of cool information and stories, thank you all for sharing them.

I am visiting a family member in Costa Rica. I was hoping there was going to be more entertainment outside of the city, but doesnt seem like there is much.

I'm 25 years old, have never been to Costa Rica before. I figured I would spend my last two nights in San Hose at one of the "hotels" there. I was thinking of going to Del Rey on Friday night, staying there and then going to Sportsman Lodge for Saturday night.

Any thoughts, suggestions, tips, etc? I've read a lot on the forum, so I am somewhat up to speed. No cien for you unless you are my dream girl!

Never been to this type of palce before. I was in Amsterdam a couple years ago and my friends convinced me to go in with this amazingly fine 19 year old Bulgarian girl. It was cool and all but didn't like how trashed the girls were and the whole assembly line thing. Was looking for a little bit more - not the GFE or anything, but something inbetween.

If anyone is going to be there from this forum I would love to touch base there. Looking forward to scoping out the scene.

Sportsmens books up way in advance so I don't know if you'll be able to get a room (a good room) now. You can try contacting them. The Del Rey rooms aren't very good and wayyyyy overpriced at $100+. Try HLH (Hotel Little Havana) or La Amistad. HLH has a massage parlor on-site and you can get a chica for $35/hour in your room.

Sportmans Lodge has 1 more good room available for Saturday... I'm just not sure if I will want to go there after Del Rey..

Where is the HLH? That sounds great and the price is right. I need a massage anyway!

You will not be dissappointed if you stay at the SL or even if you just go there to party. HLH is a good spot too. Boyd will take good care of you over there, but there is no real night time activities there. As for the gel packs, they are easy to get. When you get in town just ask almost anyone at the bar and they can help. Since you are new I would suggest the SL though. People are more likely to help you out and help you get a lay of the land so to speak.

i disagree with some of these posters
you will have a great time staying at the del rey
when you plan your next trip you can choose the same or a different hotel.

Last week my friend got a room at the Del Rey for $ 49 plus tax.It is a great place for a first timer to stay . I stayed there my first 3 years in CR. Highly recommend for a newb.

Pick one hotel because switching hotels is a pain and huge waste of time, hell even switching rooms in the same hotel is a pain in the ass.

What he said, the Sportsman was ok in my books, I wouldn't stay at the HDR but my friends did. I much prefer the Dunn Inn and even tho it was across the road never went to HLH.

I went to the del rey and had a bad experience.

WiFi didn't work well for my business calls. The manager was clearly a figure head puppet and was trying to act like her hotel was the best one in town.

The first girl I brought up turned into a demanding bitch because she didn't like my tip. I told her I was tired and wanted a MASSAGE. Anyway, thoughout the whole ordeal I was turned off and didnt even bust.

Unbelieveable how fake and money grubbing these girls are.

Just not my scene. I told her to get the Phuck out and then left the hotel 2 hours after I checked in.

Dumb bitch left her watch there. Serves her right.

You had the same experience that a large number of fellas have had there. I guess we all have to experience it ourselves. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the weekend.

LOL at all the DR haters. Yeah it's pretty much everything you say it is but that is why I love it!

WTF man, I mean really. I go there to see hundreds of hoes in the same place! The action there and the KL on a fri or sat night is fantastic. Plus it's almost impossible to get a room at the SL anyway. It's fine but does not hold a candle to the action and scene at the DR. Watching the action and the girls coming in and out etc. Is worth every penny. And when some new hot chick walks in I am sitting waiting to talk to her. And yes it happens all the time ! If you are not there you don't get first shot. Yeah the rooms are like an old motel 6. But I am not paying attention to the drapes when I am banging some hot ass columbian chick.

The service there is fine. The food is good. It's more expensive but I love it ! I want to go downstairs and be in the heart of the scene. Am not looking for a GF. I want a hot ass girl to get naked and bang her and then that's it. I don't want them to spend the night and pretend like they are my gf. They are not and will never be.

I as well love The Del Rey . I remember when I came in the cab in 1998 and first saw the place. It holds space in my heart and can't wait to step back in the door. Often imitated never duplicated. Many have went broke trying. Haters never win they just hate. I love The Del Rey. John and Greg I am jealous. Most of the guys hate you because they are not you . If you hate the Del Rey stay away they will not miss your dime and complaints. Also many of the people who say " Do not stay there because of this and that " are only basing what they say on gossip. Thats right they have never spent a night in the place . Uncle H.
