I myself have visited on four different occasions and I say that Halloween week is best for all out party. what do other members advise on this subject.

just about anytime, except for dec 21-26 and the week of good friday and easter.

Your question is general but your post seems to indicate you are asking what is the best party time. In the past Super Bowl weekend, Labor day weekend and Halloween weekend seem to have the best party atmosphere and a large turnout of members.

Hard to say that there is a best time. I enjoy CR any season. Never came back dissatisfied.
Many of the regular girls take off around Cristmas and Easter to spend time with the family. On the other hand, the ones who are working then are a teensie bit desperate.
Rainy season runs from May to December. If you surf and want to enjoy the beaches most of your time, December to May is the best time.
Basicaly, the best time is the earliest time your available travel time and travel money coincide.

The second best time to visit is when you are fit to bust with frustration (ANY frustration, sexual or otherwise). CR as safety valve. And I mean that seriously.

Right after a divorce.
When all your USA friends are pissed at you.

After you won big bucks in the lotto or some other bet.
Just before you get arrested for some stupid crime.

You rec'd great answers to a very good question; 2nd avoiding the above times

It also depends on what you want to do - although for the 1st time in 15 years of going, in Jan we had rain a couple of days, both in San Jose and Jaco - if you want to fish (other than for pink snapper ) I've found the dry season - Dec - April, what the Costa Ricans call their "summer" even though they are well above the equator - better.

But there is really no bad time to go
