Although I am fully aware of the controversey regarding said location, and with due respect to Boyd, who is always a friend to see in beautiful San Jose, I was not left with a lot of choices due to the closing of the Clarion. Having met Guy on several occassions I decided to give the Dunn a whirl. I must say, it really is a great choice. Really comfortable room in the new section, outstanding service by the entire staff, from Guy to the front desk darlings and the housekeepers, the sports bar, beautiful waitresses and the whole experience was a real winner. If you can get over the incidents of the past, and I would like to think all involved have, it is certainly a winner in my humble opinion..

Dunn Inn is a fine place and I have stayed a number of times. I guess the board's dedication to Bktuna just really cost them alot of business. They have a fine bar, good food, and great people. I must say they did f**k up when they got rid of Boyd.

I have never stayed there but have been to the bar and restaurant a few times and it was really quite good. Can vouch for the burgers, pasta, fish and the GF is a big fan of the shrimp and the shrimp cocktail. The prices are very reasonable and the staff seems to be quite pleasent.

I have to second this post. I live in CR, about 30 miles from SJ and stay overnight when I monger. Dunn Inn has become my go to place. Great service, excellent rooms and food. And the bar is awesome for watching sports with a gazillion flat screens. A king room in the new section is close in quality to SL's Mansion wing. And it is only a 2 minute walk to visit Boyd and Bruce at the HLH.

I stayed at the Dunn Inn for a night. Wasn't bad, although it sounded like the staff was doing laundry at 2 am which was annoying.

I was at the bar having a beer while someone, I guess the owner or manager, sat a few chairs down from me, counting bills, while some tica massaged him. He told the waitresses to keep an eye on me, making no effort to keep it between him and the ladies.

Other then that, no problems. Breakfast was decent and the rooms were clean.

Hey guys if you are going to CR and need a great place to stay Dunn Inn has a great staff and great accomadations. If you want to watch football while you are there, plan on going over to the Sportsmans Lodge. Ricks sports bar at Dunn Inn does not cater to American Football Fans. In fact on the several Football Saturdays Ricks SPORTS BAR has chosen to have Baby Showers instead of Football. So CRT members go to Sportsmans Lodge, Eat, Drink, and enjoy Football like it should be.

That is no surprise, after eliminating , the person responsible for making the Dunn Inn a nice CRT spot. They should turn it into a daycare and baby shower place. I guess the high roller's did not show up as expected. Now they want the CRT business back. Employee's are nice ,but their day's are numbered. The owner's have no loyalty to their employee's or the CRT that made them. Boyd is proving a point at HLH and Dunn Inn owners have shown how not to run a growing business. They would have been a major player in San Jose.

The Dunn Inn scene is pretty boring... Was decent when they had blackjack, but theres no girls and the atmosphere is pretty lame. Never stayed in the hotel so I can't really comment on that aspect.

It's not often that I have to eat my words, but the management at Dunn Inn is really trying to to make the hotel american football friendly. After the Baby Shower, which the management said was scheduled by a former employee and the last one they would be having, all 9 flat screen T.V.s went to college football games. This was followed up on Sunday by the full NFL ticket. Every NFL game was aired. As I said before, the rooms are great the staff is great, the food is great. Now they have Football on football days. There are even a few girls starting to show up each day. If this trend continues, Dunn Inn is the place I will be staying!!!
