Was in San Jose today for the first time in quite a while. Was having breakfast with my wife at a soda on 2nd Ave. Looked across the street, and had a flash from the past. How many on this board remember OUR CLUB ? Just curious.

I guess no one since its been about a week and no one responded - I've been coming down since the mid '90's - compared to many on the board it qualifies me as a "old timer" - was "Our Club" the real name - what was it - thanks

O.K Yes " Our Club " was it's real name. I'm not sure when it closed. Late 80's maybe. It was about 100 mtrs west of the Soda Palace. Do you remeber that place? It was on the second floor of the building that is directly across from the gun store on 2nd Ave just west of parque Central. It was a real dump. Had some of the ugliest women working there. However they used to have some great cat fights.

Late 80's predate me as my first time in San Jose was 1992 and never heard of "Our Club". Do remember the Soda Palace if we are talking about the same place as not sure of the name. It was on the NW corner of avenida 2 and calle central across from the cathedral.. They had a great plato del dia. Think it closed up mid 90's and space was taken over by a farmacia which may still be there.

I.D. Yes that was the Soda Palace. Was a great palce. Cheap food, good drinks.
Was made famous when JFK stopped in for a visit when he was here in '63.
