I find that headphones hooked up to an MP3 player like an iPod are a useful solution to that problem. Doesn't even have to be playing anything.

I'm one of those people who's a freak magnet. In the supermarket line, on the subway, wherever. People walk up to me and start telling me their life story. I should hang out a shingle that says "Psychiatric Help 5¢."

Headphones are the equivalent of a "No Soliciting" sign. Failing that, put in earplugs, close your eyes, lean against the outside wall of the aircraft if you have a window seat, and feign sleep.

Spirit is hit or miss. Its not unusual to see a 2 day delay on a spirit flight.

TWO DAYS...... OUCH!!!!!!
That can really screw up whatever hotel reservations have been made.

This might help a CRTer out there: http://www.cheapair.com/blog/when-to-buy-the-timing-just-got-easier-with-cheapairs-price-drop-payback/

If a ticket purchased through Cheapair drops in price after you bought it, they will give up to $100 voucher to apply towards your next ticket. I have never used them but seems like a decent enough deal.

Thanks MH.

It is an obvious alternative which has a big potential to help out. Especially when some airlines will charge up to $200 whenever a flight is changed.

I will surely make some use of it.
Again, thanks!
