FROM CHICAGO, the fares are mon to thur travel on continental. I was checking more, American has not matched. But, Delta has. Delta had a $292 (total with taxes) from chicago 10/12 to 10/19 (wed to wed). Do not know how long Delta has it for. Continental had it until 11/15.

CJ, most likely bcs AA hasn't matched, your fares didn't change. I called AA and they said there is nothing in the system to match. This could change.

I booked on Thursday, 9-15 at 6pm, $289 TOTAL on Continental from ORD to SJO going out on a Thursday and returning the following Monday in late October.

Earlier the same day as well as for the past 8 weeks, price for same flight had been $ 689. Over the last several weeks, could not believe that they were still holding price at $689 as each of the four (4) flights had between 50-60 EMPTY seats.

The $289 RT reminds me of the good 'ol days of 1-2 years ago when I first started travelling to SJO and always got fares between $ 280-$320. Maybe the start of something good with more reasonable airfares.

I believe the deal is over from Chicago. I booked 2 flights and was looking at a third. Gone today. They went up around $400. Was fun while it lasted.

Just booked from West Coast to SJO for end of November...all in $450...which is a steal from here..CH

as of today those deals are gone on the west coast

AA has a deal going. ABOUT, $400 RT from Chicago (lowest I saw was $139 each way then add taxes). I saw it in Oct, Nov actually some in Dec. Taca also had some low fares. Continental has not matched as of this post. You have to search and see. I do not know any other cities. Any infomation presented here which can not be confirmed, please direct all negative comments to Senordos since he has experience in these matters!!!

Dean is correct, $372 - $376 all-in depending on route with the AA fare.
