Nature Air & Sansa Flights daily. About a 35-40 minute flight from Liberia to SJO (Juan SantaMaria) or Pavas (Tobias Bolaños). Or you can take the bus or a taxi.

For your dates:
NatureAir $206 (RT all-in)
Sansa $266

There goes your savings.

If saving money is a big issue, book Interbus. It's about $40 each way. Read this thread, I explain how to do it: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=38681

The shuttlebus site is downright now. Try going to IB direct: https://www.interbusonline.com/Reservac ... /paso1.asp

... or you can take the Tico bus from Liberia center to the Coca-Cola bus station in San Jose. The fare is around 4,500 colones. or about $9. +/-

Ya see ? Lots of options !!! Problem solved! :!:

Well, I've only taken the Tico Bus one time. If time isn't an issue, it's a valid & inexpensive mode of transportation. And I think it's something that everyone should try (at least) once! What the hell... let him really "feel" the Tico experience!!! :o  Kind of like the Hotel Del Rey. I would never stay there again, but I always recommend a 1st timer to stay there. I like to see 'em jump into the deep end of the pool right away!
