The burning topics of the day.
To card are not to card. You make the decision. I say no way Jose. But that's just me. So vote your way.

It has been brought to my attention that some of you may not know what I'm talking about. Under general information there is a topic called Prices Control at the Del Rey. In it one of our members suggest we handout cards at the Del Rey saying no to $100 and using CRTs name. Some of us agree with this, some of us agree but think CRT should be left off and at least one of us thinks it is not the best idea he ever heard.

I don't know if they should or they shouldn't. It might lead to a few mongers who haven't had the benefit of discovering this site, learn about recommended pricing levels and the going rates and the appropriateness of negotiating rather than just accepting any outrageous offer. But it could also cause quite a ruckus amongst the chicas (and even a few arrogant and closeminded gringos with more money than brains) with undetermined and possibly quite negative results. The only thing that is certain is that if it is done the CRT name should not be dragged into it as there are clearly many around here who would object to be associated with it and it would provide the type of exposure for this board that we don't want to have.

That said, as long as the CRT name is not used, it is really irrelevant what the vote outcome is or what others think since people are free to do whatever they want on their own (just as some are free to immediately accept the $100/hr offers). Theres really nothing we can do to stop them. Personally, I have better things to do while I'm done there.

Its like pissing into the wind. It may relieve your bladder, but you're not likely to hit what you're aiming at and you never know what may blow back at you.

As Prolijo said, there is no way to stop the guys down there with more money than brains. Also, with the 'chica network' that exists, they might really get negative if they identify a certain individual threatening their livelihood. Also, the fact that the $100 deal does happen regularly does possibly inspire new girls to become available, creating variety and options. If there wasn't at least the CHANCE that they could get that big money, some girls might decide it isn't worth it.

The problem remains that if there are some good CRT guys around, and a bunch of unaware drunken tourists show up willing to pay $100 (their prerogative) , it makes things tougher for the CRT guys. Why not discreetly, in this situation, communicate to these type of guys, that negotiation is possible. This way, they MIGHT get with the program.

A wise man once said "information is more valuable than money" and the unaware guys would probably mostly appreciate being 'informed' but it would have to be discreet, no CRT evidence, something anonymous or even verbal only, so that the girls don't have a way to make a connection that could end up backfiring on the guy trying to help himself by keeping prices down.

My 2 colones: Its a nice idea, but near impossible due to the random nature of who is there from one day to the next. Organizing this effort would likely be something like herding cats.
