See if you can find a way to be in Austin for your departure. Tickets from Austin are over $100 cheaper. I'm lucky that I have customers there my company will pay me to visit the week leading up to my trip. Go figure though, thebflight still goes through Houston.
I wonder if Continental would let me buy the Austin ticket, but only catch th second leg of the flight from Houston. That would save me the 2 hr drive home when I get back.
Some years back you could, but w/ "paperless" tickets (and increasing airline rules intent on screwing you

) my understanding is if you don't show up for say, the 1st leg of your trip, they cancel the itinery, necesitating a rebooking and a change fee ($100 - 150) to rebook.
Still, you could check w/ the airline but I think my info may be correct - also - Srlim, our CRT airtravel guru
