If you like cigars and comfy chairs, I have installed a flatscreen in the Havana Humidor Room at the HLH. The sound is on btw.

The best place to go is the sportsmens lodge. they also have the best food

Interesting. Your first post said the Sleep Inn sports bar with sports book?

Is there a reason you edited that?

Not good anymore?

OK, I stopped by The Sleep Inn Sports Bar and Casino today. John, ths guy that runs the sports book there told me they are having free food for sports book players for NFL Season. This casino is totally non smoking. A special on beer, A bucket of five for 5000 colons. John has ran the sports bar operation for years on the second floor of the colonial casino. He moved the easy chairs to the Sleep Inn two years ago. Sports books are few and far between in Costa Rica. He has moved the book into the cashiers cage at the sleep inn casino. Nice operation. They have 7 big screen TVs. I didn't want to post this without John's approval. Across to the Colonial upstairs they have 3 big screens above th bar, all for football.
The food all comes from the kitchen in the Magnolia room at the Colonial

For my fellow residents here who would like to be able to watch their home team(s) at home rather than in a bar. Here is a site you can watch:

The quality is only fair, but it's free. For me it beats sitting in a smoky bar and not being able to hear the play by play. If you're like me and follow a non-primetime team, it's a nice choice.

Having a short attention span, I was happy to sit in front of the red zone all day yesterday. :D

Well I checked out all 3, sleep inn, dunn inn and sportsmens. All locations had games with sound. Sleep inn and Dunn inn had about 4 or 5 feeds. I was only in sportsmens for the late games, and there were only 4 so not sure how many feeds they have, but it is minimum 4. Betting was available at each location and I cashed tickets at all with no problems. John, Gary and Scott all offer great service in that department. In fact my friend went to pick up some winning bets the same night and both were sitting at reception with his name on them, in Sportsmens and Dunn Inn. Sleep inn was the most convenient to bet as they had a legit window, posted odds on a screen and everything. They also had free food some pasta which looked pretty good, but I had a cuban sandwich there from the menu, so never got into the free stuff. Sandwich was excellent, so were the buckets of beer 5 for 5k. Dunn inn has some great drink prices also and good service. Sportsmens is always cool, but a little smokey for my liking, and I prefer the plush chairs of sleep inn or dunn inn if i'm spending a few hours. I really like how sleep inn is non-smoking and really quiet. I wish they would add a few more feeds, and John said that they will be shortly. I didn't check out chubbs but might drop in there next sunday if theres a game I really want to see as it seems they have the most feeds and probably have every game. It will probably be my #1 go to spot for the season at least to start the day, put in my wagers. Its nice how they are all close together.

Just a suggestion.... why not activate the Close Caption feature on all TVs? That would help, wouldn't it?
