I guess  :?:

But might you not ask :?: I know what goes on in the bar is pretty compelling, but if you wanted a cigar, comon sense might indicate that you ask the bartender, "Hey, can I buy a cigar"

He posted:
Stopped by the HLH for a cigar and a drink and found out they didn't offer cigars anymore, bummer.
That statement would indicate that he asked, inquired, or otherwise did "research" to form the basis of his statement - which I don't believe is true.

We have a CRT member; posts under the name of "El Ciego" - if he posted what Ampensam did, he would get a pass - because he is blind (seriously) - but you would still have to be a little clueless to:

Miss the cigar area
Not ask if you wanted to purchase a cigar
Post what Aspensam did in the first place

Why do I give a shit what some tool posts - because its possible someone reads it and says, well guess they don't sell cigars there anymore - they are really trying to build their cigar business (needed in CR - b/c the "good" places to buy, sell, and smoke are few and far between) and offer a quality product (like the 1st Costa Rican cigar that I've found smokable in 15 years) and they don't need wrong info that could impact their business.

The Havana Humidor Room at HLH, Habanos Authorized Dealer # 0021 is open from 11 AM to 7 PM, 7 days a week. However, I usually open at 9 AM. We carry a large selection of Cuban cigars regular and special editions. Also, cigars rolled in Costa Rica. We are also an authorized Padron dealer and our first shipment of 1926's should be in be the 22nd. Prices are better than you would expect. Example, Box of 25 Cohiba Siglo VI, $380.

Point taken. Was just being phacetious with the intent of belittling him. I took the guy for what he was--a trouble maker.

I hear ya :)

Maybe he can post back and say what was really on his mind - I'm probably more annoyed at this than Bruce (the manager) but I hate when guys try to Phuck with someones business - plus, it was not funny - if he was serious, he's clueless - if it was an attempt at humor - well, guys need to think just a little before posting shit.

First visit to see Bruce at HLH on 9/13. He could not have been any nicer. I don't know much about cigars( probably like most of you) but Bruce took the time to explain the differences . I ended up smoking a modest priced local product which was very good. One atta boy for Bruce and another for Boyd for adding the humidor.

Well, some of you  :P :) There are guys who really know their cigar stuff.

Not trying to be contentius but HLH (and under its previous name, Zona Blue) have offered cigars for years - its nothing "new" - however like all things HLH, its gotten much better since Boyd took over, even though he did not add the humidor; been there for years.

Scuba, give me a break. I've been buying cigars from Eddy for years and now Bruce. I went with a friend from Chicago and the lights were off in the cigar room and I asked "if I could buy a cigar" and the dude at the door said they didn't sell them any more. A tool? Why don't you man up and call me a tool to my face at the HLH you pucking loser. Your assumption was wrong. I was there three Friday's ago if you need that detail in your BS report to the board. Get a life.

Hey Fun, I don't mind you calling me a trouble maker. And by trouble maker, you mean telling people to avoid bad food, corrupt cops and over priced clip joints, than you're correct.

You can go to the Vegas de Santiago factory where they hand make cigars. Their better cigars are made from aged Cuban Tobbaco and hand made. Even though the tobacco is Cuban the cigars have a Costa Rican label so you have no problems with Customs. The guy who sells the cigars to the Sportsmen gets them there and sometimes he also sets up a table in the lobby and sells them at a reasonal price if you buy them in bulk. You can also order them on line at the Vegas de Santiago website. They have a warehouse in Forida so they can drop ship anywhere in the USA. The drive to the factory is about an hour.
