Chill dude.

It was tongue in cheek. And I have all sorts of other hobbies. Unfortunately, it's hard to do many of them when you are working 60 hours a week. I haven't even been able to ride any of my motorcycles since I have been back because of constant crappy weather. Today is the first sunny day and I finally got to ride to work.

BTW, there's many other reasons that I come to CR, besides banging hookers, as you call it. I can bang hookers right here at home anytime I want.

It amazes me when people try and give other people life lessons on this forum. You don't know me.

Actually, I should have worded my post better. It wasn't directed at you. And I wasn't trying to teach you life lessons. You may be surprised to know that this has been posted about before, the depression sets in and guys can't think about anything else until their next trip. It sounds like an addiction. I know it's partially tongue-in-cheek but not all. So for those guys, I would rephrase my other statement:

Seriously, if one's whole life revolves around waiting for the next trip to bang hookers in a 3rd world country, some might say that is not a healthy way to live. One should find a hobby (another one) because life is passing you by.

Kettle (Orange), calling the pot black
DON'T THINK SO!

I don't get depressed after a trip and start counting the days until my next one. I don't monger at home to tie me over until the "next trip". I don't even want to go to CR, but I have to each year to visit family. My wife makes me go and she wants me to have a good time, so I'm forced to do it.

Yes, but Orange, YOU are one of the most prolific, most continuous posters on CRT. Persons with mild or detached emotions concerning this sport do not act in this fashion  :o In one way or another, you are obsessed with what goes on here.

Realize that the first sign of addiction to anything is denial, my friend :P YOU ARE JUST AS PHUCKED AS THE REST OF US!

Understood.

For me though, the whole "experience" of being in CR is much more then just the P4P. I literally felt the stress fall away from me this last trip down. Last summer, I broke my ankle and leg on the first day of what was supposed to be a 2 week motorcycle trip to the East Coast of Canada. Instead of that nice trip, I instead had 9 months off work, two surgeries and then when i finally got back to work this past April, I was put on a crappy project where i was being pressured to work overtime almost every day. I was financially, physically and emotionally stressed in the extreme.

This one week trip I just had was so relaxing. I walked everywhere. I felt in better shape then i have in years and I was even dancing again after over a year of not being able to. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the women of Costa Rica and it was nice to be able to perform again so that I could wear my 25 year old novia out in bed ;) But I also love the whole atmosphere of CR. When I talk about my next visit, I am talking about anticipation for the new things i want to do... and I do have plans for some day owning or renting a place in CR to either retire too or snowbird too each year.

Well, I can't argue with the very last sentence.

But the first part... I read and post mostly on weekdays 9-5. Coincidentally, those are my work hours. It's a choice between working or reading the board. Would you rather do work or read about chicas? Besides, my work duties aren't that extensive, I'm a manager, so I mostly oversee that shit is running smoothly and they put the new covers on their TPS reports.

Nobody needs to defend how much they read the board or keep up with other guys, esp if u been here years. While Orange was a bit rough with his original response, most of it rings true..

Whenever I see post p4p depression threads (since there have been tons) I always wanna tell the person to get laid at home..so that being equally as dickheadish' wut can ya do?

Im with planecrazy ,Since traveling 5 years ago after coming to life after living the dead life of being with a controlling nagging american woman I have seen and done many things traveling ..Most of you guys know its more then sex with cheap hookers ... My friends and co-workers think like that guy up top, its all about an addictive disgusting immoral desire and lust for sex ..even a perversion..

Let me tell you I have meet girls non-hookers online and traveled to 5 countries for my romantic vacations with them ..I have been in a 6.4 earthquake ,Traversed over the rainforest at 800 feet above lake arenal in costa rica on the zipline..I have felt and seen a volcano erupt ..I once walked into the airport in Rio de janiero alone and waiting for me was a beautifull 23 yr old girl who was my GF for 4 days on the beaches Of Ipanema ..spent the last 6 in the termas having sex with some of the most talented sex workers on the planet . I stood in front that big phucking statue of Cristo redento overlooking Rio that was an amazing experience ..
I went to colombia and stood on Pablo Escobars grave and also got shot at at on the metro cable (have video) met some great friends too.. I once met a girl in the Slums of Santo Domingo Dominican republic and spent a honeymoon there with her, we are still great friends ..I learned to speak spanish and learned alot about the latin cultures.

without the sex ? It wouldnt have been the same I will admit ..without the Rest ? It wouldnt have been the same ..its about adventure and experiencing real life and real events .The risk is well worth the reward I am a better well rounded person now ..

To say its an addiction is correct ..I cant wait to get back ..

Berating some one for any reason sucks !!! :!: :!: :!: :!: whether intentional or not :!: :!: Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Almost everyone I know who has gone any place on vacation gets depressed soon after they get back. Whether it be a P4P destination of just to get away and enjoy life.

Who doesn't enjoy getting away and having fun doing new and different things or just lounging around with their favorite beverage in hand. If you are lucky enough to spend the time in the company of a person whose company you enjoy its all that much better. ( at least for me it is )

Unfortunately, we all have enough stress in our lives and need the break.

For me I need about 2 - 3 weeks before I'm back into my routine. Then the depression goes away.

I'm still planning my next trip though. :D :) :)

Pura Vida, or as El C puts it, Pura Vulva
