i must be lucky. ive stayed there my last three trips and have never been any less than pleased with the service and quality of the rooms. the mew rooms up stairs are esp. nice......fanney and maria at the bar are fantastic[ maria is taking a break in a week or two] have mixed feelings about somethings there but all in all , a good place to stay................

Arlo, there are no true complaints here about the hotel itself, with a few exceptions here and there. The haters of this hotel will never change their mind even though now, BOYD IS PART OWNER OF ANOTHER HOTEL as a result.

You are right everything happens for a reason and there's no need for us brothers to continue hating... due to ther stupity they lost a great guy and best of all he ends up owning his own hotel.

The hotel was fine. The owners will never receive another dime of my money . When ownership goes broke and sells out. I will stay there again. plain and simple. Until then I just as soon stay at the Circus hotel or in a tent. Like I said if you do not want to hear anything bad about the Dunn Inn do not bring up the subject. Cancel the thread.

No such thing as bad publicity. Like them or don't like them, they stay active and in the forefront on CRT as there is usually a thread going about the place...

So you choose to disrespect other members in your crusade to punish the Dunn Inn for disrespecting Boyd? You exhibit the very same behavior you claim to detest. How does that actually accomplish anything?

I went in the DI on my visit down and it looks like a good hotel, but instead of always posting negative threads about it,
why don't use our energy and post positive threads about HLH... I'm willing to bet you Boyd would appreciate that better.

There is not reason to hate. After all, Costa Rica is a happy place right At least for me it is. Or people may be just suffering too much from post-CR syndrome as mentioned in another post

Personally, I would not stay there because of issues I personally had with the owners (yes, I posted about it), but I don't wish them ill-will or even them doing away with CRT. How they choose to operate is their thing.

I like having multiple CRT sponsors in Barrio Amon area even if I like the place or not. Bill does such a fantastic job, SL is booked solid especially during high season and party times like Halloween. Boyd is also doing a great job that HLH is getting booked. LA seems be popular even with the 6am wake-up calls from the train. There seems hand-full of Castillos faithful also.

I get to stay where I WANT to stay because some people stay at DI and others I failed to mention here. One thing this type of thread does well though is to keep people (especially for the new guys) informed on good experiences and/or potential issues.

Not much to tell, left a brand new backpack with some items (umbrella, pocket knife, toiletries, etc.) in storage at Dunn Inn, Guy assured me it would be secure until my next visit. Stopped by to get it on way to HLH party and it was wrapped in a plastic bag with my name on it, wingman wanted to see the rooms so was distracted and didn't open it until up the street near HLH to find the pack empty and completely covered with mold. I was pissed and threw it in a trash can, Latinoheat laughed (as he always does at my misfortune) and instead of going back to raise hell I said phuck it and we went to the party.

Paco Loco, those are the specifics that I believe most members want to hear especially about a CRT Sponsor, good or bad news is information that makes this Board so valuable, not personal matters between individuals.

I also agree that Boyd is the type of person and business man that prefers praise and complements about his Property rather than personal attacks on one his competitors. That is never good business. Boyd I am looking forward to seeing all the good stuff you have done with the HLH. See you in a few weeks pardner!

I would bet 90% of the Dunn Inn haters would not stay there Boyd problem or not. Let it go, other members have a right to make positive comments without the backlash. I know Scott well enough to know that some of the problems will disapear or his tenure will be short.

I agree, life goes on. If you know Boyd and want to boycott the place, don't give them your business. But don't try to "ruin" them. You won't do it and you're just making yourself look bad. And it's not fair to Scott (who is a stand up guy) to keep it up. Let guys (who probably don't even know Boyd in the first place) stay there then make up their own minds about it.

Guys you have to understand Scott will be out the door before you know it. These owners will screw him over just like they did Boyd and the other employees. The hotel is nice I have never disputed that and the food was always good. Give them a chance. Why? The people working there are good people but they must realize they have no job security and the owners are loyal to no one. Accusing a man of wrongdoing after he put the place on the CRT map. Kicking Boyd and his pregnant wife to the curb a month before she was due. Do you really want to trade with a business with that kind of ethics. Yes you may not have any knowledge of this and may not give a rats ass. But I do. Boyd has always been a gentleman about the incident. Your money and support for HLH will help to overcome his past hardship. But to forgive and forget in business I will not do. I like many choose to spend my money elsewhere and many CRT members feel the same. If you want to trade with the Dunn Inn I encourage you to do so. Just do not ask me to not voice my opinion about the Dunn Inn.

59 vette . I read the last sentence of your post and all of the above posts and where did anyone ask you to voice your opinion of The Dunn Inn ? Nobody , you just voiced it on your on.
