I am a friend of the guy who designed their new web site and they are having a grand re-opening on Friday, July 29 at 7pm (till closing, 2 am or whenever). Dancing starts at 8, no cover for the grand opening and I have heard they will be honoring the old CRT 10% discount. I am also told there will be free bocas and PERHAPS some drink specials, but don't quote me on that. They have remodeled the place completely and the owner says the girls are hot, though we wouldn't expect him to say otherwise, would we?

Since its all in spanish, I'm hoping it means that its meant for ticos which in turn will mean that that prices will be tico prices!

Will put a bid on it since its only at $55 right now. Hopefully the private dance means the whole deal

its off of the highway that runs off Mall San Pedro. You could probably actually walk there from the mall if you wanted to.

I think I'll apply for the amateur night and win the prize(maybe it will cover the cost of a girl). I mean most of those girls that dance at a strip club in CR really suck.

It's on Hwy 39 between the San Pedro Mall and the Zapote rotunda, west side (need to be southbound).

I was there last night. I didn't stay really late so I can't say if it ever got really busy, but it's very nicely furnished and they had free bocas, quite good little hot wings among other stuff. The talent level ranged from quite hot to meh. I talked to the owner and manager. They expect to upgrade the talent as they get going and (hopefully) build the client base.

Business is certainly "off" in the Gulch. To think that a strip club will survive which is a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the Gulch is a bit of a dream. It would have to have some incredible chicas and a hook to get the Gringos to go there.

Ok, here is my review of the new club, I made it there after 11pm and the place definitively looked better then before but for a grand opening,it was a bit dead.

The girls were for the most part decent ranging from 5 to 8 the majority of them being around the 6-7 range

The mixed drinks were not watered down which is a plus and compared to other night clubs prices were good.

Did not partake in any of the girls because the prices were out of my price range where to get a private dance for 3 songs worth is 25,000 colones where you can do whatever you want but seriously, I'm not getting any younger so I would need more than 3 songs to get my groove on. With that in mind, I didnt even ask how much for a half hour.

My guess is that they aren't expecting a lot of gringo customers, but are hoping for rich Ticos plus Ticos with decent jobs who want to watch girls and maybe have one sit on his lap for a few minutes. Whether that market exists in sufficient number to turn a profit, time will tell.
